Josiah’s P.O.V
I couldn’t bring myself to go back to the castle after watching Asmodyus leave. Now that I knew what and who I was to him, I couldn’t bring myself to be in the same vicinity as Malik. I tried to think of any other possible place that I could go to keep myself distracted, ultimately heading towards Levi’s grandparents house. I got back onto the horse I had taken from the castle stables and rode off.
Levi’s grandparents lived on the far east side that was still close to the water. The house was stationed on a hill that overlooked the black cliffs of the Colkestian shoreline. It was a gothic styled estate that one would’ve assumed was taken directly out of a horror story, even in the best light.
It was a house that I only ever had the opportunity to enter once. As I rode up the pathway to the front of the house, I saw Levi sprint from the window of his bedroom and out the front door. How he was able to sprint from upstairs to the front door so fast was beyond me.
