The Halberd of Berk

He can't even walk properly without an aid and yet the author wants him to use a halberd... A weapon that requires both hands, very sturdy stance (both legs need to in a position to compensate for the weapons weight) and needs high mobility in order to swing and stab, something he will never have again. "All muscle has been ripped from the bone." What a waste of potential for anyone with more than 2 brain cells. Your writing is good and interesting but decisions like that just hint towards idiotic logic and reasoning in the future of this novel. Good luck with the rest, i suggest you try and get some education on wider areas of the world.

Story is ok. It could be better if the author let the MC be his own person with his own thoughts and feelings and goals. Instead, hes just a baby sitter for hiccup and astrid and it gets annoying. Hes always following and sticking up for hiccup, for no reason other than plot and it comes off as forced. The author states that theyre friends, but their interactions state otherwise. Not to mention the author decides to have the MC lose his leg….for no reason whatsoever. Does the author want the MC to be hiccup or something? Like at that point why even make an OC. The MC shoulda just been hiccup. (Id just like to know the reasoning) he could have lost an eye, an arm, an ear, a hand….ANYTHING. Yet the author wanted to have him lose a leg and not be able to walk…i mean whatever.

I always wanted to read a how to train your dragon fanfic and this story is great so far. I hope you keep writing as you are doing awesome so far.

Good story but I don’t like the fact that the fact fact that the author has made the mc need a cane to walk properly so if you don’t mind that fact then it’s a pretty good read beside the occasional misspelling

Your idea was good but execution not so much. Honestly, it feels like i am reading about a side character instead of a protagonist..........

for motivation '5 stars', and I did love the story so far, I just hope since Heather is love interest for their relationship to develop properly before it it became physical in anyway. I mean since he work alone most of the time, he and she could work together in the future when she get Windshear. especially in her hunt for Dagur during the time when she seek revenge from him (still not knowing that he is her biological brother)

I personally really enjoyed this novel and I believe that it has so much potential. I just hope that it is continuing in the future. All the best to the author. I love the idea of having the mc with Heather

Muy buen comienzo de la historia, ya agregue esta a mi biblioteca jaj. espero con ansias ver como se desarrollaran los personajes con el protagonista, pero mas que nada como se desarrollara el, tanto en particular como con su dragon y sus compañeros. Thee author is a wonderful individual whom has taken upon the mantel of bringing forth the wonderful piece of literature amongst our plane of existence. Thank you author mon frier I truly love the httyd universe.

there are quite a few spelling errors but the interesting characters and how it keeps to the actual story more than makes up for it . overall great read.

What difference did this story after all having a competent friend to rely should make some sort of difference, But clearly every single instance are same as canon. Either I am an idiot or the author is a blundering buffoon that knows squat about writing. Drop.
