Scarlet saw a bow that looked really good, but she waited in patience. Luckily, she was next.
"With Scarlet's weapon, since she is a long-range attacker, I also implemented some ideas that came to me, and I think you'd like it." Regallas puffed his chest proudly.
He handed the bow to Scarlet, who admired it. The color was dark red, but now coming from the grip, extending all the way to the lower and upper limbs and still extending outwards, there were polished bones of an unknown creature that looked like blades. The bow had no string either, which seemed weird to Scarlet.
She held the bow and noticed something. Holding the bow at the grip, she split it in half and realized her bow could now double as two short swords. She joined them together and channeled her crimson cinder energy and blood energy into the bow at the same time, and a string was formed from the energy. She dragged the string quite easily and imagined it forming an arrow, which also happened. The blades were also ablaze with the crimson cinder. She felt like a child at Christmas and thanked Regallas. The bow was folded to look like a short sword and was stashed in its sheath, which was now on her belt. No one would think Scarlet was the long-range attacker in the group if they saw her.
"Talia, I just buffed up your trident. It was purely made of obsidian, surprisingly. Hence the durability, but now it's an absolute beast." Talia picked it up, noticing vertical grooves on the trident.
"Those grooves will help in focusing your light beams, making the attacks stronger." Regallas explained
The twins were also handed their new and improved bracers. They were strong but not really noteworthy (no offense to the twins). Frances and Midas stared at two identical claymores and felt Regallas was playing a cruel joke on them. Regallas saw their looks and chuckled, "I was wondering how to get something different but decided against that. You would both decide what you want. Pick any of the claymores; it doesn't matter; they are essentially the same, and then channel your energy through the weapon."
They were confused, but they listened. Immediately after they both did, the weapons began to reshape themselves. Midas' claymore looked like it was rusting, while Frances' claymore was now blue-ish, releasing plumes of cold smoke.
"See? Now they are different." Regallas folded his arms, like everything had worked out in the end.
"Daren, your Kodachi's were also made more durable and sharper. I also have the bombs ready and stored." Daren nodded as he picked up his short swords and bowed a bit to Regallas.
"Davina, I am sorry. Your staff is definitely unique, and I can't upgrade it." Regallas apologized
"It's fine, Regallas. I don't need it to be upgraded or anything. It's perfect just the way it is," Davina understood. The scepter looked more wooden than metal.
"But I have something else." A leather armor that looked like a dress was presented to Davina. Her eyes looked like they were made of glass as she stared at the beautiful dress armor.
"I made it for everyone, actually, but I made yours look more beautiful." Regallas winked, and he looked at Daren. Davina picked up on what he meant and had a big blush on her face. She immediately used her dress to cover Regallas' face.
Some of them were confused about it but just chalked it up to Davina and Regallas being close. All the armor that Regallas gave them was retractable into a necklace like that of Fenrir. They all had matching necklaces, and even Gayatri had one too. Gayatri was excited that she was given one and kept on showing Licht and Tenebrea. To be honest, she did not need it, but Regallas just made it as he got carried away.
"Did you make one for Amphy?" Gayatri asked with pleading eyes. Amphy was her beloved pithon that Tenebrea made a golem of, and Gayatri basically made it live. Regallas scratched his head, as he had forgotten about the living golem.
Gayatri looked like she was about to cry, and Regallas was really confused. He looked at Licht, who had a dark face with a big grin, and he felt like he could see the killing intent that radiated off Licht. Regallas felt a shiver down his spine as he calmed Gayatri down and said,
"Don't worry. I prepared something even special for your Amphy."
Walking to Amphy, he hoped what he was about to do would work; if not, his master would turn him into sashimi for making Gayatri cry. He placed his hands on Amphy while his eyes were closed. Amphy looked like a giant rock snake with blood streaks running across its body, but after a while, it looked like the brown, earthy color was slowly being augmented by black scales, which slowly grew out of Amphy's body onto the brown scales. Everyone watched this happen, and even Gayatri had stopped "crying" and was looking in amazement.
After a couple of minutes, the brown earth pithon was nowhere to be found; instead, what stood before them was a black-scaled Amphy. She still had the red streak running across her back, but the scales on her body now looked like armor as well as a form of defense. Since the pithon was technically not fully a biological being, Regallas felt he could insert some ironwood into the pithon, making the beast evolve with black scales, and he was right.
Amphy slithered around in joy, and the black scales started to recede. It seems like she can control the armor now. This was an extra form of defense for the dragon-like creature.
Dinner commenced after the sharing of weapons and armor, and Licht spoke.
"I am planning on going to the demon territory. Since I am here, I might as well see the people I once led."
They had no qualms about that and were even hyped. Licht felt all his generals would be dead, but he still felt it was worth a shot to at least see them before he left the continent. He did not know he would encounter familiar forces once again.
