Birthed as the direct descendants of the human race it was no surprise that the royal family had one of the purest and highest manas. Due to the high level of mana reserves within their body, every royal was born with an ability or two and only ever once—three.

With such abilities it was no wonder the royals of the human race were respected as if offended, one would be making a formidable foe to battle for all ages as they barely let go of grudges however this was also so for favors as one who has ever given them favor will never be forgotten and would have their loyalty for ages to come.

Thus, the human race was known as one of the most loyal races.

Because of their insane mana reserves the royals had hair either too light or dark. There had never been a single instance where a royal’s hair was dull but they were known for possessing hair that screamed their mana heritage.

The present king- King Abbott was born with an extreme amount of light mana and for this reason, he possessed hair filled with dazzling golden locks along with blinding red eyes that left all astounded whenever his presence graced them. His hair was as bright as the blazing of the sun during a hot summer on a mid-day and was conspicuous enough to be seen even in thick darkness.

King Abbott was married to two lovely wives whom he loved so much he denied every advance to take up another wife or even concubines. These wives of his were two sisters who loved each other and couldn’t be happier to be together even in marriage.

The first queen was named Clara Florien, possessing long silver locks and silverish eyes with a certain glaze to them that left one in a daze when stared at. With a face so pale and a body beautifully curved she looked like an angel which had descended from heaven.

‘Seems Zillah really took after her.’

The second queen was called Sasha Florien, a woman endowed with beautiful golden hair which rivaled the King's and sharp amber eyes that could stop a person’s every action with a simple gaze.

The first queen Clara had five children, the first, Keven, a prince who vied for the throne, the second, Orinda, a prince who had devoted his life to worship as a priest, the third, Rosaline, a princess who escaped with her powers of nature in a bid to become one with it as an agriculturist and a florist, the fourth, Zillah, a wild princess who did whatever she wanted and the last, Wayne, the baby of the house, a four-year-old prince who was adored by all.

He had fluffy silver hair and a pair of beautiful ruby eyes with an aura so addicting that even a murderer could fall in love with his charms. He was the beau of the family and the favorite of EVERYONE.

The second queen Sasha had two children who were actively vying for the throne, the ice-cold Lunius who was known for being the most abnormal with flashy pink hair and deep violet eyes covered by a pink ring, and the lastly, the doll princess who had never for once seen to show a single emotion even by her own mother—Pearl.

She was the only one among the children who possessed hair exactly like her father, the king, but weirdly took after the first queen’s silver eyes just as Zillah had taken after the second’s queen amber eyes.

The only royal members seated on the chair were the king, the two queens, and Zillah the third and last princess.

“Welcome to the royal garden, Sir Ged and Sir Fed,” a royal maid greeted with a bow as she settled the men on a chair across the table where the royals sat.

Genad was as stoic as ever as he sat down after bowing politely to the royals with a greeting and Feral followed suit, however, a tinge of nervousness could be seen in his actions.

“Greetings then men, I hope this feast is to your liking?” the king asked cheerfully with a reserved smile as he pointed towards the lavish meal setting.

It was filled with all sorts of meat, vegetables, soups, and other assorted delicacies Dina was sure she’d never seen on earth and it was all covered with a transparent glass bowl. She felt herself drool, now this was it! Eating fantastical foods in a world of fantasy? Hell ya! Sign her up.

Maybe it was because of how many special occasions she had attended and the many meetings with high-status people in her normal life as Dina but she found herself unable to be afraid. Apart from being a bit nervous that she was faking who she wasn’t she was pretty chill.

“Yes of course your Highness, it’s a well-prepared meal filled with the generosity of the royal family. How could such a thing be lacking in any manner?” Genad responded diligently.

‘Spot on! Oh, he’s good Zero,’ Dina exclaimed while giving Genad a mental thumbs up, this guy was really good with his mouth!

“Such amazing eloquence, if I may be rude I would love it if you’d disclose a few secrets of your background. I’m afraid that your words have caught my attention greatly,” Queen Clara said with a playful glint in her soft silver orbs.

‘Oh no! Queen Clara strikes one what shalt our protagonist do~?’ Dina yelped dramatically.

Zero: You’re having quite the fun Dina.

“I grew up on the poor streets of the West and ever since I was a child all I ever did was wander, for daily bread, to quench my thirst, to cover my nakedness; all this was fulfilled due to my wanderings. After I managed to grow a bit matured under such dreadful conditions I set out of the human race in search of a place of comfort and a person of my own until…” Genad paused and turning to Feral whose eyes almost couldn’t hide his excitement to start feasting already, said—

“I met my true soulmate.”

“Pfft-!!!!” Feral spluttered the next minute as he turned away coughing severely till a maid handed him water to cool down.

After calming down his entire face flushed up at how embarrassing his actions were, but did this son of a **** really have to shame him like this?! How cruel!

“I can see that you both have a very PERCULIAR relationship but try not to embarrass your lover again in the future. He seems like the type to get easily flustered,” Queen Sasha chided teasingly with a wide grin on her face.

‘Now THIS is peculiar, Queen Sasha joining the conversation? How strange.’ Zillah wondered.

Among the queens, both held quite unique personalities. The first was very sociable and deeply involved in all political activities while the other was introverted and barely held social gatherings but would rather play with potions, mana, and the rest as an alchemist she was.

She was only ever involved when needed and even then her contributions were to a minimum and her actions highly reserved but now… she genuinely seemed to be having fun.

“You’re quite shy, Fed, are you usually this easily flustered?” Princess Zillah cooed at Feral whilst side-eyeing Genad who barely gave her a glance.

Feral composed himself and with a deep breath (internally) answered—

“Not really but when he confesses his love like that… I can’t help but be flustered,” Feral said bashfully.

“Is that so~?” Zillah stated. Genad totally won the lottery on this one, with how convincing his act was even she who knew the truth was almost convinced!

“Enough with the little chatters,” the king suddenly interrupted impatiently, “The guests have arrived, and the food is ready then why most we tarry? Let the feasting begin!”

Instantly the food was uncovered, all took their cutleries, and as the king had commanded they all dug into the glorious feast.
