Stay

VALENTINA

____

I stared at the hourglass, watching as the time we had left became lesser and lesser than the time we had already spent.

Yesterday, when we left the festival, Rowan had tried to shift me back, but the block was still there. He found it a little confusing, he had thought the block would be gone by now, since the Wrath King seemed to be more concerned about the likely uprising rumor with the Greed.

I was happy the block remained.

Even now, as I watched the sand slowly drop to the other side of the Sandglass and knew that if I was still here when the last grain dropped, it would be the end of me, I was still happy that the block remained.

If I didn't try to avenge Ru, it will be a heavyweight I would bear for the rest of my life.

It would haunt me.

I didn't want that.

We were still in Sloth Kingdom but we were far from the Capital that we had been in yesterday.
