I pulled my hand away from his, letting out a dismissive chuckle just to lessen the tension that had slowly built up to a suffocating point in the tent. 

"I'm sorry. This just feels a little weird I guess. I thought, since he was the Master, he should be the one imposing things like this on you. Not the other way around."

Kyros blinked, his eyes following every movement I made. It suddenly felt like he could see my thoughts, the way the screws were turning in my head as I tried to come up with anything that would make me avoid this confrontation. 

I haven't thought anything of this yet and I didn't want to.

Feeling like I had an option made me think. For a while I haven't felt like I had an option, in fact, still being here, felt like grace, an absolute luck that I had better made the best of, and I really wanted to keep it that way.
