CHAPTER 12: DISAPPEARANCE OF THE SUPER CHILD.

After celebrating the birth of the foretold child, an occasion was organized by Mr. Martins for his naming ceremony. All Mr. Martins colleagues were invited and made present during the occasion as well as all their family members. Both Mr. Martins and Dooter conceded that his name should be Orkumaga. This means No one is capable of harming him. Few days after the naming ceremony, Mr. Martins' time was due to resume work. So, he told his wife while they were passing the night about his intention to go back for work after the few months of his leave and his wife Dooter told him that there isn't any problem about it but told him that she wished he stayed more but since it's a must that he should , she doesn't have any other option than to be happy so she appreciated him for the few months he had sacrificed to stay with her. Mr. Martins told her that his going back to work this time will not be a long time leaving because he had to inform them that his leave should be over because his wife had safely delivered. Once Mr. Martins woke up he looked at his wife and kid still in bed fast asleep and then smiled and left the room to prepare for his trip. Few days after Mr. Martins left his wife and child to work, Dooter left her child sleeping on the bed and went to the bathroom to shower. Without wasting much time in the bathroom, she came out to dress up after shower only to notice that her son who was sleeping on the bed before she left was no longer there. Immediately she called her house help and asked her if she had come in to carry the boy but the lady who had not come into her room for that day said that she didn't. She called the securities to ask if anyone had come in but no one did. instantly she told them that her baby was missing and they all embarked on a thorough search for the little Orkumaga.

They searched for him everywhere they could but he was nowhere to be found. Immediately she began to cry. She tried calling Mr. Martins' number to tell him but couldn't get to him then he called Mr. Martins' mother and told her about it and she immediately rushed to the house to confirm if the bad news was actually true. When she got to the house, she saw that there was no child then they called Mr. Martins' father and told him. Immediately they told him, he began an interrogation but after asking the questions, they were still not able to see the child then he told Dooter to call her family and also tell them of it which she also did. She called her parents and told them about the loss of her son with tears in her eyes while she was crying uncontrollably. When her mother Mrs. Mzamber heard the news, she collapsed. Her father Ayaaga asked her where she was when the child disappeared but she replied that she went to take her bath while the baby was sleeping but as she finished bathing and went back inside, the bed was empty.

After explaining, her father then suggested that they should give the report to the radio stations and they immediately did exactly as he instructed them but after announcing and waiting for a week, no one was able to see the baby and again, Dooter became more restless and felt like she had lost all that she got. Dooter's father had in mind of the village sorcerer that once casted a spell on his daughter and quickly told Dooter to ask the church members to be with them in prayers. Dooter and her house help went to the church to meet the pastor and explain the situation on ground and he advised them to also be prayerful as they go in search of the child. They searched for the child for a very long time and as well they were into a fasting and prayer for the missing child. When they couldn't find the child for almost a month, they gave up the search and placed the life of the child in the hands of God.

After giving up the search to pray, unknown to them that Mr. Martins was on his way back home, he arrived at home very surprisingly, his wife Dooter after welcoming him, went and sat down crying without saying anything but when Mr. Martins saw that she was crying, he asked her why she was crying but still she said nothing. He asked her again where his child was but she remained silent. She continued crying uncontrollably but when Mr. Martins saw that she was not saying anything, he called the house help and asked her what happened but again the house help kept quiet. He tried been patient but when no one was talking, he said with a little loud voice " Can someone talk to me here please?" his wife Dooter opened her mouth in pains saying that "The child is missing". She told him everything and when Mr. Martins heard that, he held his head and started crying. He whipped and asked them where they were but no one was ready to answer him because everyone at home was in tears.

All the neighbors heard and hurried to the house to comfort the them.

After 2 days search, Mr. Martins went to the police stations he was told by his wife Dooter the report was given to ask if they had gotten a news about the missing child but to no avail immediately he came back and took his wife Dooter to visit her parent in the village.

On arriving the village, Dooter's parents who were eager to see their grand child, as soon as they saw them in the car coming, they hurried to welcome them without waiting for them to reach the compound celebrating and waving at them in the car but as the car was opened they saw that Dooter their daughter was already replenished with tears but on seen her in tears, Mrs. Mzamber her mother collapsed and fainted.

The whole villagers who heard the voices of them crying rushed to the house to console and sympathize with them but no one was able to stop them because the pains were too much that even the villagers too started crying.

They all cried for almost 2 hours but then Ayaaga held himself and told them to stop crying and advised them to put their faith in God while still searching for the child.

When they stopped crying, Mr. Martins told his wife to believe that they are going to give birth to another child even if the child would not be found...

After he said that, Ayaaga Dooter's father told them that, they should never forget that God loves them and when they heard that, they nodded their heads and thanked him.

The following day early in the morning, Mr. Martins told his wife's parents that they had to go, explaining to them that they were only coming to let them know about what happened then his father in-law Ayaaga held their hands and prayed for them before biding them good bye.

Immediately after the prayer, they left the village to Lagos.
