Aftermath!

Timaeus.

" Ughhhh!" I groaned as I felt myself waking. My entire body, especially my chest, all of it hurt like hell. And there was an added weight on my chest that made me wince slightly in pain. When I opened my eyes and looked down at what it was, I saw that it was Diana, curled up into a ball, on my chest. She looked peaceful, so I was reluctant to wake her. But the sudden thumping of a horn made me grab my ears.

Diana sat up rubbing her eyes softly. When she saw that I was up she smiled and leaped towards me. I caught the giggling girl in my arms and pulled her in tight for a hug.

" Daddy!"

" Princess!" I was happy to have my daughter in my arms again. After so long, I finally had her back. It felt so unreal. I wasn't so sure it was. So, I reached down and pinched her cheeks.

" Ow! That hurt." Diana spoke.

" Hahahahaha!" I laughed at her pouting face. It was real alright.

" I'm sorry to cut this eh, happy moment short. But now that you are awakened Zeus has requested an audience with you." The man who had spoken wore a golden helmet with silver wings on it and he also had wings on his feet. " Oh, sorry, I guess you and I never met. I am Hermes. The messenger of the gods and the fastest man alive. A pleasure." Hermes did a grandiose bow before rotating on his heel and marching to the room door. " Now, please follow me."

I nodded and tried getting off the table I was on. I lifted myself off the stone, with Diana still clinging to my chest. Her eyes were watering a little and I knew she was close to crying again.

" Hey, princess. None of that okay. I told you, I'm here now. And I'm not letting anyone else take you ever again." I told the girl.

" Promise?" She asked.

I smiled and rubbed the top of her head softly.

" Of course, love. Now come, let's go see what the father of the gods wants."

Diana nodded, but still hung tight to me.

It was okay. I preferred this after so long.

I got up and followed Hermes out of the healing chamber and we headed towards, what Hermes referred to as, the council room.

I guess, we share something in common with the gods after all.

When we came to a stop Hermes looked back at me and spoke.

" Mind your tongue with Zeus. You are stronger, but he is still stronger than you are. Just a bit of advice." Hermes spoke.

His warning was clear, Zeus was usually the more vicious of the gods and the one quickest to anger.

I nodded and Hermes led me into the chamber.

Inside were the Eleven of the main gods of Olympus. Athena, Apollo, Aphrodite, Ares, Hephaestus, Hera, Demeter, Hestia, who winked at me, Artemis, Hermes, who took his seat, and Zeus. Leaving only one seat empty, Poseidon's.

Standing off to the side was also Hercules, who had Theseus with him. I guess he's been keeping the little guy in Olympus all this time. Hercules nodded and I returned the gesture.

" Now that everyone is here, shall we begin?" Zeus asked his compatriots.

" Yes." There was a collective agreement from all of the 11 gods that rang clear.

" Very well then. Timaeus of Sparta, you have done what many believe to be impossible. You a demigod killed a full god. Not only a full god, but one of the twelve gods that rule all of Olympus. You've taken his power. But what will you do now?" Zeus asked. His voice was neither threatening nor calming. More neutral.

" Well, I honestly don't know for sure. But I think I'll spend the next twenty years raising, Diana. Once she's grown and can make her own choices, I think I'll travel the world. If she wishes to come with me, then that'll be fine. I personally don't care much about ruling Olympus or whatever. I don't like the idea of being stuck up here all the time. So, yeah. I think that's what I'm going to do." I told the man.

Honestly, having finally finished all of the fighting, I wanted to enjoy my life with my daughter. Take her to see the world outside of Greece. I have the time and if she received any of my abilities then she might just live as long as I will.

" I see. You've done me a favor so; I owe you a debt. I propose a vote. To welcome Timaeus into the fold. All in agreement say aye." Zeus exclaimed.

I looked around as Hestia, Athena, Apollo, Demeter, Ares, Aphrodite, Hephaestus, Artemis, and Hermes all raised their hands up.

" AYE!"

" All in disagreement?" Zeus asked.

And Hera being Hera raised her hand.

" Nae!" Hera exclaimed. " All of you have to realize you are making a mistake and welcoming an outsider into our folds."

" Well, you are outvoted, Hera. 11 to 1. We welcome you as one of the Twelve gods of Olympus. You will from now on bear the name Poseidon ruler of all thing's sea, storm, and earthquake related. You will be allowed access to Poseidon's' personal study. For future reference, if you are going to the human world, as one of the big three you must make sure to seal a portion of your power here in Olympus. If someone with your power were to roam the earth carelessly, you could accidentally destroy it. That is all. I have nothing more to say, should we need your presence here on Olympus, Hermes will be sent to fetch you. This meeting is officially dismissed." Zeus exclaimed.
