I put my straps on my shoulders and stood up from the bed, fixing my dress and hair. Max zipped up his jeans and turned to look at me with crossed arms. "Nice one Alexandra, I have to go out shirtless now."
I winked at him and bit my lips. "I love seeing you shirtless babe." I walked toward him and moved my hands down his biceps with a squeeze. "I know, I'm too hot for my own good." There goes him with his big ego again. I huffed loudly and pulled away from him, but he grabbed my thigh, pulling me against him.
"Come on big boy, we have to go back to the party." I dragged him out of the room and stopped when someone was coming, pushing Max back in the room I pressed my back on the door with a busted smile on my face.
I tried to calm myself down and not look too suspicious. "There you are! We were looking for you and Max." I blew a piece of hair out of my face and stepped from the door. "Max? I have no idea where he is." I acted confused and tried hard not to laugh. "I had to pee, and the guestroom was closer so..." I trailed off as I walked past Chloe.
She crossed her arms and turned around with narrowed eyes. "I can smell sex and Max all over you, you know that right?" Dang it! So much for not being suspicious. "What? I don't know what you're talking about." I said with a smile playing on my lips and skipped down the living room with a sigh of content.
The rest of the day went by, and it was finally the end of the party. We said goodbye to our family and friends and call it quits for the night. "I'm going to see my mom; I'll be right back." I pecked his lips and swung my legs off the bed, putting my slippers on and headed toward the door. I twisted the knob open and got out, slowly closing the door behind me.
I skipped through the halls and stopped in front of one of the guestrooms, knocking on it. "Lucy it's me, can I come in?" I knocked again when she didn't respond and decided to enter the room. I moved my hand down the wall and turned on the lights, looking around the spotless room
I furrowed my eyebrows and made my way inside, closing the door behind me. "Lucy? Lucy are you in here?" When I didn't receive a response back, I sighed and headed toward her bed, lingering my hand over an envelope with my name on it.
I picked it up and ripped it open, opening the letter. Alexandra, I want you to know how much I appreciate your kindness for letting me stay at your house after everything I did. I never expected you to forgive me but you did, that shows me how big of a heart you have. I'm sorry that I was blind before that I didn't see that Max and I could have never worked out.
I want you to know that I enjoyed the time I spent with you and your family. I like the way you and your family are bonded and enjoyed every bit of it each day with happiness and togetherness even during the times of hardship. I can't forget the wonderful dishes your mother made for me and how you all made me feel comfortable at your place even though I didn't deserve any of it.
I just want you to know with this letter, how thankful I am for having such a great friendship with you, even though I never thought of us as friends you treated me as one. Thank you. And as for the baby, I'm going to keep it.
I thought about everything you said to me back there in the backyard and I know that I should be thankful for having a new life growing inside of me. I never imagine myself as a mother, the thought of having a baby never crossed my mind. But then you and Max had babies and I kind of wanted the same thing that I didn't really think if that was really what I wanted.
As for the father of my baby, I decided to give us a chance. He asked me to come live with him and I accepted. I'm sorry that I didn't tell you this personally, but you had a lot on your plate. You and Max really need some time together as a family and me being there is just holding you guys back.
Thank you again for everything you did for me. You were there when my 'friends' weren't and took care of me without asking for anything in return. I hope that we can see each other again in the near future sincerely, Lucy.
A smile played on my lips as I stuck the letter back in the envelope. "Baby, are you in here?" The voice of Max made me turn around. "What are you doing in here?" I sighed tiredly and rested my head on his chest when he pulled me into a hug.
"Lucy left." Max rested his head on mine and ran his hands up and down my back. "She left me this letter." I pulled away from him and gave him the letter.
He opened the envelope and took out the letter, reading it. I waited for him to finish reading the letter and raised my eyebrow at him. "What do you think?"
"What do you want me to think?" He sighed loudly and stuck the letter back in the envelope. "She made her choice." I ran my hands up and down his arms with a sigh of my own. "Come on, let's go to bed." I rolled my eyes when Max picked me up bridal style and headed toward our room.
I woke up by cries and groaned loudly in my pillow, my body tired as hell. "Max, you go. I'm tired." I put the pillow on my head and buried my head in the mattress.
"No, you go." He pulled at the covers and turned to the side with a sigh of content. I gasped at him and kicked him out of the bed. "Hey! Did you really had to do that?" He stood up angrily and dusted himself up.
"You're being childish Max. I can't do everything myself! You know what? I'll go, you can stay in the fucking bed." I swung my legs off the bed and pushed the covers aside, stalking out of the room.
I walked down the hall and opened the nursery room to three crying babies, their hands on the slats with a red face and pouted lips. Oh God, where do I start? I picked up Rebekah and then Maximilian, bouncing them on my hips while cooing at a crying Maxim who was in his crib.
I shushed at them as I walked around the room slowly, humming quietly. I walked toward a crying Maxim and planted a kiss on his forehead. Rebekah and Maximilian held on the slats and tried to go in the crib. Maxim sat down as I put Rebekah and Maximilian in the crib with him.
A smile appeared on my face, and I chuckled with a pout, leaning down on the crib. "My babies." I hugged the three of them and stayed like that for a while. They seemed to doze off and I pulled away slowly, tugging them together in the crib.
The three of them cuddled peacefully with each other and I suddenly felt stupid. Who in their right mind put them apart? They're triplets and have a connection after all. I crossed my arms and ran my hands down my arms as I watched my babies sleep.
I stayed in the room until I was sure that they weren't going to wake up and headed out of the room. I closed the door slowly behind me and instead of going back to the room I went downstairs into the kitchen.
I turned on the lights and sighed tiredly as I made my way further into the kitchen, stopping by the counter to grab a glass and went to the kitchen sink. I opened the tap and filled the empty glass with water, closing the tap when it reached the half.
I leaned my elbow on the counter and ran my hand through my hair, bringing the glass toward my mouth. I gulped down slowly and put the glass on the counter, looking outside of the kitchen mirror. I gasped quietly as arms wrapped around my waist from behind me.
Max kissed the crook of my neck and turned me around slowly. "I'm sorry for being a dick." He captured my lips with his and I gripped at the edge of the counter. He moved his mouth down my neck and stayed there. "I want to make it up to you."
I parted my lips and breathed out raggedly, my hands moving from the counter edge to grip at his biceps. "What do you have in mind?" I gulped down my dry throat and panted hard when he pulled my boy shorts aside, sticking one finger.
I nailed his biceps and scratched him down when he inserts another one. My legs threatened to give up and I held onto the counter edge again as he inserts another finger, pumping in rhythm. "Something that involves pussy eating."
I squealed when he hung me upside down on his shoulder and walked us out of the kitchen, turning off the lights. Let's just say that my night ended up with a special cleaning. What more can I ask for?
Why is wedding planning so damn complicated? I groaned out again after thousands of times, putting my head on the table. Why can't we just hire a priest and voilà we're married. I huffed and raised my head up with the papers in my hand. That's why leave wedding to the humans.
I picked up the office phone and dialed the wedding dress shop to reschedule my dress fitting section. "Now?" I put the papers on the desk and ran my hand through my hair while nodding, even though they couldn't see me. "Isn't there like any other dates?" I asked the woman from the shop who assisted me four days ago.
"Yeah, I get it, thank you very much." I hung up the phone and called the bridesmaids to ask them if they can meet me at the shop. I hung up after that and stood up with the papers in my hand. The office door opened as Max walked through it.
"Where are you going?" He asked me confused and I furrowed my eyebrows when two men in their early twenties walked in after him.
I waved it off and gathered the last papers I needed. "I have dress fitting like now." I said looking at the watch on my wrist. He nodded his head and mentioned the men to take a seat. "Can we talk for a sec?" I asked him when he kissed me and headed out of the office, standing next to the stairs.
"What is it?" He sneaked his arms around my waist and looked down at me expressionless. "Who are those men?" I ran my hands up and down his biceps, resting them on his shoulders. "Just friends." He stated shortly and simple without saying anything else.
I raised one eyebrow at him and looked at him with a 'really' expression on my face. "Is there stupid written somewhere on my face or what Max? We're good, let us stay like that. I'm pissed as I can be, and this would be just the cherry over the top. So, speak." I said pissed off as hell and at the brink of exploding.
The wedding stress is really getting to me, and when things don't go the way, I want. I feel like I have the world on my shoulders. I want everything to go smoothly and perfect and the wedding preparations weren't walking the way I wanted.
"They are here for something that doesn't concern you. I don't know if you forgot but I'm the alpha here not you and I don't have to tell you anything." His response shocked me to the point of paralyzing me completely.
I pulled away from him with my head cocked to the side and an incredulous look on my face, my jaw slacked. I shook my head as I slowly turned around to walk down the stairs, my buttons about to explode.
He sighed and tried to speak but I didn't want to hear it. I was so done and so over this and his stupid egocentric asshole self. I yanked my keys from the cabinet next to the stairs and headed toward the door. "Alexandra..." He growled out lowly and warningly, but I didn't care. He can go fuck himself for all I care.
I don't know why but he's been acting like an asshole lately and I wasn't having it. "No." I whirled around angrily, my finger pointing at him. "I've been supporting your egocentric asshole self for too long but you're just being a dick now Maximinus."
I turned back around and opened the front door, slamming it on my way out. "Wow, you look boomed. You with whom?" Christina pulled away from my car and uncrossed her arms. "You know what? I don't even want to know." She raised her hands up and turned around to grab the handle of the door.
I rounded the car and unlocked the doors, yanking my side door open as Christina opened hers. I slumped on the seat and brought the door with me, holding the steer wheel to stick the key in the hole. I started the engine of the car and drove away from in front of the house.
"Max is being a fucking asshole! Who does he think he is? They are here for something that doesn't concern you." I mocked him in a deep voice, my lips moving around. "I'm the alpha here not you blah-blah suck my dick asshole!"
She looked at me with widened eyes the whole time I was rambling and her mouth slightly open in shock. "You have a very nice vocabulary." I rolled my eyes at her and ughed angrily, my fist hitting the steer wheel.
"He's been acting very weird, I know he's not like that but he just pisses me off so much." I parked the car in front of the wedding shop and turned off the engine. "Do you think that he has another woman?" Lia whined quietly at that, and I felt awful now that I thought about it.
Is that the real reason why he's been acting weird?
"Don't even think about it! Max loves you too much to be cheating on you, it must be something else." I sighed loudly and removed the keys from the hole with my hand pulling at the door handle. I brought my bag with me as I got out of the car and closed the door.
I stuck my keys inside of my bag and headed to the shop with Christina to meet the girls. "Good evening bride to be, nice to have you again." The shop assistant said as she greeted us at the entrance with a false smile on her face. "The other girls are waiting." She mentioned us to follow her and walked us toward a private booth where the girls were.
"Thank you all for coming." I pulled everyone into a hug and gave them a kiss on their cheeks. "I need bridesmaids dresses for these girls and of course my wedding dress." I turned to say to the shop assistant who was still having that false smile plastered on her face. Bitch.
"Come here, I'll show you where the dresses are." She walked us where the dresses were and picked up a couple of dresses that according to her were the best options. She laid the dresses on the rack and stepped away, putting her hands behind her back.
I cocked my head to the side, examining the dresses. "I don't like that one, it looks so eighties. Ohm what do you think? I don't like that one either, pick another one. I'm not convinced." Zoë opined as she stared at the dresses doubtfully, but I knew better, she was just trying to get under her skin.
"Yeah, me neither in fact, I don't like any of these dresses." Christina jumped in, snickering quietly under her breath. The shop assistant smiled irritated with us and gritted her teeth. "You know what? We'll look for the dresses ourselves, we don't need of your services anymore doll, thank you for your help anyways."
Chloe pushed her away in a nice way and headed toward another rack of dresses, scanning through them. "What are you waiting for, you heard what she said." The shop assistant pinned her lips together and with a huff, she went to put the dresses back.
When she was far from where we were standing, we burst out laughing like crazy, clinging at our stomach. "Let's see what they have." I shook my head at them and followed behind Christina.
We stayed in the shop for hours as we tried on dresses for the wedding, I think we even tried dresses that had nothing to do with wedding, just for fun, oh and to piss out the bitch of the shop assistant. There was a point where we even had a dress fight in which the shop assistant was involved, and we almost got kicked out.
I was surprised when I found out that the owner was a werewolf from my father's pack and one I knew of. We told him about the shop assistant and got her scolded. "Alexandra, come out! We want to see you already."
I took a deep breath inside of the changing room and walked through the curtains, stopping in the front. There were chorus of wows and awes when I walked out, and I knew that this was the perfect wedding dress.
It was a shame that my mother couldn't be here, she would have liked to see me dressed like this. My eyes filled with tears as I remembered my father and that he won't be there to walk me down the aisle. I wiped my tears furiously and grabbed the layers of my dress, rushing down the platform.
I yanked my keys from my bag and rushed through the shop. "Alexandra!" They shouted at me but I was already out of the shop. "She didn't pay for the dress!" I heard the shop assistant yelled as the girls followed behind me. I yanked the car door open and got in, locking all the doors. I started the engine with them knocking none stop on my windows, telling me to stop the car.
I reversed the car from the parking lot and put my foot on the brakes, turning the steer wheel as I put the car in drive mode. I drove from in front of the shop and headed to the road, swerving and curving past the cars with tears blinding my vision.
I jumped slightly when my phone started to ring, and I took my eyes off the road as I turned my head to the side to see my phone on the ground. I ignored it and got my eyes back on the road, my sweaty hands gripping at the steer wheel.
I whined loudly at my suddenly throbbing head as Max tried to get through my walls, but I pressed him down, not wanting to deal with anyone right now. The beeping sounds of car horns made me snap out of it and moved back in my lane, wiping my tears furiously as I sobbed heavily.
I parked my car on the side of the road and tripped out of the door, grabbing the layers of the dress, and rushed through the woods, leaving my car there. The sky rumbled furiously as lighting and thunder started to strike but that didn't stop me.
I skipped in between the trees, my feet stepping into puddles of water that splashed on the white dress, ruining it but I didn't care. I tripped on the dress and felt on the ground right into a puddle of mud, but I wobbled back on my feet and kept on running.
The sky rumbled again, thunder and lightning striking again as I ran further into the woods. My messy bun loosening down my shoulders and around my back, waving around as I ran. I let go of my dress as I stopped abruptly in front of the werewolf cemetery, shakily pushing the door open and walked in.
The dark sky and the creepy trees were giving the cemetery a tenuousness look, one that you see and want to run away as fast as you can. I dragged myself further into the cemetery and slid on the ground next to my father's tomb, my hands grasping the dirt as I cried out heavily.
I raised my head up as a raindrop felt on my cheek and soon enough the rain was pouring down heavily. "Daddy." I turned my gaze back to the tomb. "Why did you leave me? Wasn't I a good daughter? What did I do wrong to deserve this?"
I cried out as I sobbed loudly, my screams mangling with the heavy rain. "I loved you with all my heart and you left me. I always dreamed about walking down the aisle with my father by my side, supporting me and calming my nerves."
I curled my feet under my legs and slowly brought my hands up to my arms, moving them up and down as I rocked my body back and forth. "You weren't only my father; you were my best friend. A best friend that I lost."
I sobbed between words and leaned down the dirt, my arms under my head and my legs curling up. The labeled white wedding dress all muddy and wet from the rain. "Why you daddy? You of all the people in the world? Why you?"
I shook my head while sobbing my heart out, my shoulders shaking and my body trembling from the cold. "Daddy." I whined quietly as I sniffed, my eyes dropping close tiredly but my body still shaking.
