Courage Or Foolishness

As soon as he came out of hiding, Kim Jae-hoon stealthily walked towards them while holding a spear in his hands.

He quickly got closer to the white rabbit as it was showing its back and wasn't looking in his direction since it was busy fighting the opponent at front.

Kim Jae-hoon couldn't miss that chance as he try to stab the beast with his spear and kill it in one shot.

However, the white rabbit reflexively dodged his attack without even looking behind and right afterwards, the beast grabbed the sharp edge of the spear with its right hand and finally looked back with a smirk on its face.

'This bastard… did it leave an opening for me to attack on purpose?' Kim Jae-hoon raised his eyebrows in suspicion.

Upon realising something was amiss, he tried to snatch the spear from the beast's grasp. But even with all his might, he couldn't pull it out from his hand as if the weapon was stuck underneath a huge boulder.

On the other hand, the rabbit was deflecting all the attacks that coming from the mysterious boy while holding the spear tightly with ease.

Sometime later, the beast swung the very same spear extremely hard while lifting the young man in the process and aiming at the young swordsman who was fighting with it the whole time.

Kim Jae-hoon was flustered by the situation since he couldn't understand the logic of this world. A tiny being with no more than 3 feet height was playing around with him as if he was a weightless stuff toy.

"Aaaaahhaahhh!" He screamed his lungs out.

"Agh!" Not long after, he clashed against the young swordsman and they both fell down in the process.

At first, the mysterious swordsman was taken aback to see an unfamiliar face in this dangerous habitat alone who was around the same age as him. Although he was in the same situation as him, he was the strongest among the students who were aiming to become a full-fledged spirit master.

So, he was in a confused state and wanted to interrogate Kim Jae-hoon who dressed up like a barbarian with no clothes on his upper body which was suspicious. Additionally, his spear seems to be made in a unique way but the material quality was poor.

'This guy… who is he?' he wondered.

The swordsman wanted to ask Kim Jae-hoon so many questions but now was not right time as the opponent didn't even gave them a chance to take a breather as the beast attacked them immediately.

Both of them barely dodged it as they stood up and regained their momentum. A few moments later, the duo started attacking the rabbit continuously at the same time.

Once the rabbit became wary of them, it kept a distance between them as he inflated his mouth as much as he can preparing for his acid attack.

Kim Jae-hoon knew what the beast was trying to do as he warned the young boy. "He's going to shoot acid from its mouth. Dodge!"

"Acid what?" The young boy asked with a perplexed expression on his face.

'Oh, I forgot that people here don't know this term.'

Kim Jae-hoon quickly realised and corrected himself before speaking to the mysterious stranger again. "Poison! He can shoot poison from its mouth. It can burn anything that it touches! So be careful!"

"I see. But how do you know this?"

"I'll tell you later. This is not the right time to chit chat. Just dodge."

After hearing alerting words from a boy who he just met, the swordsman nodded in response as he took a defensive stance to protect himself.

Not long after they finished talking, the white rabbit shot a giant round purple jelly-like liquid towards the swordsman at a fast speed.

As instructed by Kim Jae-hoon, the young boy anticipated its trajectory and dodged it successfully.

Tsst…

Once the acid fell on the surface, he noticed that the soil of the ground he was previously standing at, had melted to a certain degree. In this way, he was able to confirm that Kim Jae-hoon was telling the truth.

The young swordsman quickly regrouped with Kim Jae-hoon and took an offensive stance.

"You take the right side and I'll attack him from the left." The swordsman said to Kim Jae-hoon with a firm voice.

"Okay."

Soon afterwards, they took their positions waiting for the rabbit to make a move first.

'As expected! The beast takes its time to shoot the acid from its mouth.' Kim Jae-hoon thought to himself with a satisfied look on his face as if he solved a puzzle or something.

As Kim Jae-hoon was present at the previous battle when the rabbit was fighting the bear, he noticed that the rabbit had a tendency to wait for a few seconds before it could attack the opponent with its acid.

"If I could get the timing right, I might be able to defeat it with the help of this guy." He mumbled to himself with a smile as he looked at the direction where the swordsman was standing.

"It's still too dangerous for you to take him head on." A familiar voice resounded behind him.

He slightly turned his head and saw Park Sun-jae coming towards him who was watching him fight from afar.

The ghost continued speaking, "Don't forget that this white rabbit is a monster who is strong as the ones from the red zone area and you on the other hand is a mere ordinary guy who can't even cultivate soul energy."

"Right now, I don't care about that. If only I could pierce his skin once with my spear, I'll be able to defeat it." The young man clenched his fists with a seriousness in his eyes.

"Dream on!" He retorted. "With your current abilities, you can't even catch a fly from the red zone area, let alone a full grown monster. Just give up and come with me. This guy next to you is capable enough to defeat the beast or at least injure it a bit so that he could escape from it. You don't need to worry about him. Let's just go."

"No way! Now that I have revealed myself, I can't just run away and leave behind a person to die. That would be too cowardly and pathetic thing to do. Moreover, if he came out alive after I leave him behind, won't he try to take revenge on me?"

"You care about such things? Where does your intellectual goes when these types of situation occurs? Seriously!" Park Sun-jae sighed. "Do whatever you want. I don't care anymore."

After saying those final words, he took off and stood at the corner of the area, away from their battle radar while the two of them were preparing to attack the beast while it was accumulating another acid ball inside his mouth.
