Chapter 10. Get your hands off her you bastard!

Asami clenched her fists until they turned white. She sighed, what would she do if…something happened to Naomi? Yes, she had only known her for a few days but she had grown fond of her classmate.

She took a moment to calm down. She knew she was over exaggerating too much and it was probably nothing. Besides, nothing would happen to Naomi out in the open, as much as Katsu 'loved' her he wouldn't risk revealing his murderous ways. He only ever did that once he was rejected but that doesn't mean he wouldn't hurt someone that annoyed him ( like her) so she had to refrain from being temperamental. She had to remain calm.

Katsu had embraced Naomi for ten minutes now, he hasn't spoken at all so everyone assumed he had fallen asleep. They continued their mindless chatter until Kyo spoke up for the first time.

He had remained quiet whenever Asami was around, only speaking to Naomi sometimes. So him talking surprised her.

"Anyone up for a day out tomorrow? I was wondering since it is the weekend" he said in a sweet melodic voice

Naomi answered immediately.

"Sure Kyo-san! I'm free tomorrow, what about everyone else?"

"I'm free. What place are we going to though?" Said Yoichi.

"I was thinking maybe go to a few shops and then we can go to my aunties cafe! It just opened up and it has the best pastries and cakes!" Said the boy with light blonde hair.

Kyo's green eyes sparkled with fake anticipation. His plump lips spread into a small grin. Anyone looking at him right now would find him adorable and want to engulf him in a hug, unless of course you were Asami who knew his secret. She almost gasped at how good he was at acting. Almost.

She narrowed her eyes as she looked at him.

"I can go as well" voiced Yasushi, from behind the book he had been reading.

"What about you Katsu-san?" Said Naomi, peering at the boy leaning against her shoulder.

"Hm" he said with closed eyes.

So he wasn't asleep? Smug bastard.

"Great! So then what about you Asami-san?"

Before she could answer Yoichi spoke up for her.

"Of course she'll go, it's not like you have anywhere else to be huh Asami?"

She looked at him with a deadpan and then rolled her eyes.

"Well I did plan on going to the bookstore this weekend so it'll be like killing two birds with one stone" she said with a shrug.

They all agreed to go for a day out this weekend.

Lunch had ended and Asami got to thinking. If she remembers it right, this was an event in the game. She remembers that it said two weeks had passed since school started and Kyo had asked the MC to join him on a day out, much to his dismay the other two love interests decided to join. This event was brought up so you could increase your favourability with the three love interests all in one day before you chose the routes.

One thing that caught her off track was that in the game it had said two weeks had passed but it had only been three days in reality. Did something happen for Kyo to ask this early on? Wait, she happened! She and Yoichi joined the 'group' when they weren't even supposed to be a group in the first place. They each had their own paths so the only time they did meet in the game was in that event. They wouldn't meet each other again because you had to choose separate paths for each of them. Now they were all together!

What was she thinking…they are real people now that she lives in this world so they're bound to meet anyway. They don't have separate paths anymore. She almost actually forgot THIS was now the real world. So she could get hurt…she could…die.

She stressed about this all day, even when she got home. She sighed as she tried to eat her dinner. Nothing can be done now. All she has to do is wait for tomorrow and hope nothing too bad will happen. If her past self saw her now she'd probably lose all hope and die. She couldn't do that though. She had people she wanted to protect now. Her dear friends.

______________

She walked to the library after dinner, not wanting to sleep just yet. She walked to the nearest one to her. Surprisingly it hadn't closed yet. Well it was only 8pm so not too late?

She opened the doors and walked into the dim library. She picked a book from the fantasy section and sat down on the table. It was preoccupied by another person but they were too busy reading their book to notice her. She ignored everything else and began to read.

A few pages in, and she felt someone staring at her but when she looked up to see, it was no one. She shrugged and got back to her book, thinking nothing of it.

It had now been a few hours and the library would close soon. She had been too invested in her book to notice how late it had gotten. It was now only her and the other person in the library. She got up and walked up to the counter to borrow the book.

Walking out she felt a soft breeze in the air and she shivered from the coldness. She slowly walked back to her house, that was near by.

She didn't notice [____] following her. He narrowed his eyes as he watched her go into her house, locking the door behind her. He clenched his teeth and watched with a crazed look. He then turned around and walked off, with heavy steps along the way. Disappearing into the distance…
