Internet Café

I decided to sleep in and then travel the next day. Next day, bright and early I managed to get in the internet café. Looking through the history it was pretty much the same I cant find any difference. So same old same old, maps looked the same also.

The biggest difference was the tech. The PC I was using In World B was of similar spec to 2010 from World A. Same with mobile phones etc. The best thing was there was a lot of new music, books, movies etc in this world that was not present in the other world and vice versa. So basically that means I could port these things over and make money. Well my get rich scheme was relatively easy to do. The only problem in World B would be getting some ID.

As I am a normal person I dont really know how one goes about getting fake ID. What I decided to do was go around bars and see if I am able to get this done.

Turns out it was much easier than expected, the first person I spoke to was the bar tender. As I "casually" tried telling him I lost my Id and need new ones he gave me the low down. Just speak to the police and pay a bribe, bam I would be a proud owner of a new Thai ID card. As I nervously followed through trying to get new ID internally I was ready to portal to World A at any time. Overall it went smoothly but ended up costing the rest of my gold bars.

So now that I had an ID card in World B I had a new goal that I could work towards. Mainly to some how travel back to UK so I was in my home turf and I could do a lot more other stuff.

Now I would have to think about making some money. Some of the ideas that I came up with would take some time to implement. I could copy music/book/scripts etc but then I would have to find some way to sell them and also have some kind of cover story to go with it. Then the other issue is I would have to convert the money to something that I could use in the other world (mostly precious items like gold, silver etc). If i start trading a large amount of precious metal etc then I knew I would be on someone's radar, government/gangs/thief's.

The other much more quicker if risker option was to make use of my inventory space. If I do decide to use it then it would have to be for high value stuff as only having a cubic meter of space available meant I cant fit a lot of things. Did I mention that to store stuff I needed to be touching the object and the object could not be fixed to something else. So for example I could store a football that was touching the ground but if the football was nailed to the ground then I could not store it unless I removed the nail. This meant I was limited on what I could steal.

To be honest I thought about smuggling drugs across but again I need money to buy the drugs and then connection to both buy/sell it. As this was a high risk option I decided to use this if I am unable to think of any other option.

Thinking about this for a while I thought of roaming the streets and shops to see what was being sold for high price that I could get from one world and sell it to another. After going around in circles I finally was able to find something to sell that would net me some profit. Good old DVD, I was going to pirate movies. As in world A the price of DVD was substantially lower than in in world B. In World B the DVD had not died yet it was still in its glory era. Hurrah for me.
