Scout mission (pt. 2)

"Ha!" One of the guards released a fire ball towards Shadow.

[Shadow Skin Activated]

Once the fireball made contact with Shadow, it did next to nothing since the Shadow Skin blocked weaker attacks and he was two levels higher than the guard who had attacked him.

The Guard seemed pretty shocked that Shadow wasn't on the floor.

"My turn!"

[Shadow Hop Activated]

Shadow jumped into the air space above the guard and from there, punched his shoulder which pushed the guard down to the ground.

Shadow wanted to relax for a second when yellow lightning blasts came towards him which he quickly avoided by ducking. He looked up and saw two females with their hands sticking out, they were the ones who had shot out the attacks so they must have had the same powers.

The two girls shot out the lightning bolts again but Shadow just dodged them once more. The two girls, a bit angry started spam shooting the attacks and making it more difficult for Shadow to dodge until he was actually hit by one.

[Damage has been regenerated]

'Whoa! These two most at least be at Level 2. It looks like not everyone is at Level 1. Does that mean someone could be at a higher level?' Shadow dodged another attack in time, now knowing the amount of damage they could do together.

Voltage shot out his Volt Bullets towards a man who had created two pair of extra arms that stuck to the wall. The man dodged most of them though and the ones he didn't dodge, he used the second pair to block the attacks. When Voltage tired out, that's when he acted.

*Spit

"What is this? a Web?" Voltage thought as the white substance strapped his hands together, preventing him from shooting any more attacks.

The man with the extra arms, seeing this opportunity, jumped towards Voltage but he made the Thunder Barrier just in time and stopped his attack. But his handa were still tied up. The man on the outside continued to beat on the Barrier, causing it to crack slightly.

"What do I do? What do I do?" He thought when Cypher had arrived in time and used a Water Slash to hit the man away.

"Thanks du.."

"Do that later, just use your Volt Wave on them." Voltage looked and saw three guards with arms made of water coming towards them. The three extended their arms out towards them.

"Volt Wave!" Voltage let out the wave of electric energy and electrocuted the three of them.

"Thanks. It's been difficult fighting those three with this form." Cypher told him.

From the air, Kurolinn was using the Demon-Absorber to continue throwing out Ice Slashes and had frozen the three that Voltage had just dealt with while jumping on different machines.

The three scientists tried to run away but Shadow teleported to the entrance of the building while Voltage and Kurolinn stood in front of all other entrances and exits. Now the Scientists stood away from the three children in the pods that Cypher went towards and opened them up.

"Why did you stop them?" One of the boys with blonde hair asked Cypher in anger and the other two felt the same way. His name was Remmy. They were orphans who felt miserable at the Orpahanage they were at where they were treated like lesser human beings by most. They only had each other. The three of them were about 12 or 13.

Cypher sighed as he placed his hands on the three of their shoulders, pushing them closer together, "The Organization was just going to use you as slaves in their own plans. You could've ended up like these guys." He took a moment to point at all the guards.

"Trust me, it's much nicer to live your own hard life instead of it being in the hands of others." He told them and the three began to cry as they thanked him between sobs.

Jane and Neo were also moved. Jason took a moment to acknowledge this.

"Voltage, please give the police a call, they'll know what to do with them."

"Not so fast." A voice said from above. It was a bass voice that boomed through the building.

He jumped down and revealed himself. Like the others, he was wearing a tuxedo but he had a bronze colored sash on him. His hair was brown and slicked back. He wore a pair of shades as well.

"It's the boss!" One of the scientists said and the three of them felt saved.

"No one is leaving." As he said those words, the four teenagers were on guard.

Cypher used the Power Sight on the man to figure out what his Ability was.

"Everyone, come together!" Cypher said as he carried the three kids with him and everyone hurdled around each other.

"Shadow! Voltage! Your Shields." As he said those words, the two Outlets raised their Shadow Wall and Thunder Barrier respectively.

On the outside, a large ball of white energy was being formed as the powers from four of the guards left their bodies and entered his.

A sudden white burst of energy poured out from his body and into the air, causing the part of the ceiling above him to break.

"Shadow! Get these kids to safety!"

"Right." Shadow replied as he grabbed a hold of the kids and deactivated his Shadow Wall so he could use his Shadow-port once again.

But he couldn't do it in time when he was hit by two yellow lightning bolts that had been released by Gary.

"Like I said before, no one's going anyway." Gary said again as he floated above into the air and began to shoot out lightning bolts towards them.

"I got it!" Kurolinn said as she got out her Demon-Slayer once again and tried deflecting the lightning bolts but they came out too fast for her to block but instead, the lightning bolts had hit the kids instead.

"No!!" The four heroes exclaimed.

"Shadow-port." Shadow teleported him, Cypher and Voltage behind Gary.

"Ha!" Cypher began throwing out Water Slashes while Voltage was using his Volt Bullets. Gary in reaction, formed a metal shield that blocked all their attacks.

'That's three powers! What's the fourth one?' Jason thought as he counted Gary's powers.

When their attacks slowed down a bit, the man in question shot out a larger lightning bolt towards the trio but Neo got in front of them in time and activated his Shadow Wall, only for it to break upon impact.

"Ha!" Jane had flown up to Gary and after deactivating her Devil Wings, she then created the Demon-Slayer sword once again and hit him but then a sword made of fire appeared in front of him and countered the attack.

"That's four! Ok, I got a plan, guys." Voltage told them as he whispered into Shadow and Cypher's ears.

"Got it?" They nodded.

Cypher released numerous small explosions after jumping in front of Gary, causing the latter to create his Shield to block it which he was doing effortlessly.

At the same time, Shadow began to shoot out his Abyssal Bolts too which Gary had to avoid by moving around in the air. During this time, he was still deflecting Kurolinn's attacks.

"It seems your friend has abandoned you. He's at least smart enough to know that you guys can't win." Gary mocked them as Voltage wasn't in sight.

Unknown to him, he was actually being hit little by little by Volt Bullets which he couldn't feel since he was using so many Skiils at the same time.

"What's happening?"

*Vomit

Gary threw up blood as he began to overstrain his own body. At the same time, his Energy was slowly, slowly draining.

[Flame Sword has been deactivated]

Involuntarily, the fire sword had stopped and Cypher could see it with the help of his Power Sight.

"Hiyah!" Kurolinn hit him in his back with the sword and then his Metal Shield also deactivated, allowing Cypher to hit him with his Explosion blasts.

"Ah!!" Gary screamed in pain and once again, another skill of his deactivated and he fell to the ground unconscious.

"We... did it!" The four of them thought and then remembered something.

"The kids!" They all ran towards the bodies on the floor. Kurolinn touched their chests and couldn't detect a heartbeat, they had been killed through the electrocution.

"Isn't there anything we can do?" Shadow asked Cypher but he shook his head.

Voltage thought long and hard about what to do, he tried using his Surge Palms to kickstart their hearts but it wasn't working. At the same time, the building began to collapse so they quickly got out of there, their battle was too powerful and the building couldn't take much more of it. The Scientists had escaped as well.

'Think. Think. This feels like when they died. Wait, that's right.' Cypher remembered one way to bring these three back to life, something only he could do.

[Revive has been Activated]

The Watch flashed on his wrist for two seconds and during that time, different colors of light flew out of it and entered them.

[Revival has been successful]

'They're gonna wake up soon. They can find their way back to the Orphanage.' Cypher thought as a couple of police cars and a few Gyro began to pull up on the scene.

"Come on. Let's go!"
