Chapter 12 "Third wheel"

"When did this happen? Anyone's going to tell me or should I just leave you guys on your first ever date? You better tell me right now if I'm being a third wheel between the two of you? Sigh.. (fake cry).." Yuna tried to make me emotional or was just making fun of us..

But the truth was she wanted to join us.. I knew her very well.. she didn't tell us to come along but I knew she wanted to.. she was Yuna for you..

I smacked my forehead and said "You know that I know that you are just being melodramatic, right Yuna? Because if you don't, then we are going to leave you here alone to fend for yourself.."

I said and picked up my bag as I finally wrote what sport I was going to participate in.. and was about to walk away from her, when she held my hand and gave me a sheepish smile "You know me the best Eunaa.." She said in a coquettish voice, that made me cringe..

Aldo couldn't help and laugh out loud "hahahaha.. oh my goodness.. what did I hear today!!.. it was the most cringy voice I've ever heard in my life till now.. hahah" he held his stomach and continued laughing..

Yuna rolled her eyes and spoke "Are you done or what? Continue if you want to get flicked again.."

Aldo stopped abruptly and covered his mouth with his hand.. but you could see from how his eyes were nearly closed, he was trying his best to not make any noise and laugh silently in his heart..

I Looked at them and said "Alright.. I guess that's enough for now.. let's go and give our names or we'll be late for real.."

I made my way to the class representative and the two followed behind.. we gave our names and left together..

Soon we made it outside and I took out my phone to look at the time.. it was 4:25 PM.. I turned around and said to Yuna in a low voice "Are you sure you're okay with coming with us? I hope this doesn't cause any problems at home?"

Yuna looked at me and smiled slightly "I can spare some time today I guess.. my Dad's out of station with some of his friends and colleagues.. so I can manage for today.."

Aldo was a little far from them to listen to their little chat..

I turned to look at him and asked "So, where are you taking us for the coffee today?"

Aldo looked at his phone and said.. "It's not far away.. it'll only take us around fifteen minutes to get there.."

I nodded my head at what he said.. And waited for him to lead the way and take us there.. but even after some time passed, it didn't look like he was about to move.. There was no one except us.. all the students had already left..

Yuna lost patience and asked Aldo "Alright then.. I think we should get going.. what are we still waiting here for? Shouldn't we be on our way?"

Aldo looked at us apologetically and said "It's not that I don't want us to go there sooner.. it's just that I am waiting, for the car my Dad sent for us, to arrive.. and I just received a text saying that we'd have to wait for another ten minutes before the car gets here.. due to heavy traffic on the way.. I hope you guys don't mind.."

Yuna and I heard what he said.. he looked like a pitiful small puppy.. I said "It's fine… it happens.. we can wait here for the car to arrive with you.. we are not in a hurry.. right Yuna?"

I looked at Yuna and made an eye signal for her to say something, as I didn't want Aldo to feel bad just because we had to wait a few more minutes.. she looked at me for a few seconds and then finally understood "Yes.. Yes.. we can wait for more than ten minutes if that's what you want us to do.. haha.. so don't worry too much over such small things.."

Aldo looked at us and finally smiled "Thank you Yuna.. Da-eun.. for being such good friends to not make me feel bad, and helping me lighten the mood.."

Me and Yuna both looked at him and rolled our eyes and I said first "Oh come on now.. you didn't have to say something so cheesy.. it's kinda cringy.."

Yuna laughed as soon as I finished the sentence "Hahaha.." I looked at her and noticed that she was laughing more than usual today.. I then looked at Aldo who covered his ears and said as he furrowed his brows "You.. Can you stop laughing at me all the time? I was just expressing what I was feeling.. what's there to laugh at?"

Aldo said as he turned his back towards us, folding his arms in front of his chest and huffed.. "Hmph.. I'm not gonna say 'thank you' to you ever again.. you make fun of me.. you are so mean.." He meant it for Yuna..

I looked at Aldo and then looked at Yuna.. one was snickering and the other was acting like he had just been bullied.. they were a little annoying but adorable at the same time, arguing like kids..

I shook my head in resignation at both of their antics.. they just started talking a few hours ago but acting like they have known each other for many years and this was how they behaved with each other.. it was amusing to watch.. maybe my life was going to be more entertaining from now on..

As we were bickering I saw a car coming our way from my right side.. "Hey Aldo.. I think our ride's here.." the car stopped in front of us as soon as I finished speaking..

Aldo finally decided to turn around and smiled when he saw someone walk out of the driver's side of the car.. The man looked like he was just a few years older than us, barely and adult.. he gave my heart a soft kind of feeling when he looked at us smiling..

"Young master.. I apologize for arriving late.. I made Young Master Aldo and his friends wait outside for such a long time.." The young man said as he bowed in front of us a little..

Without waiting for Aldo to speak, I said hurriedly "Please rise.. you don't need to apologize to us.. it's not your fault.. we understand that there was traffic.. so please be at ease.."

Aldo nodded his head and said after me "Francis, I don't mind you being late to receive only me.. but because of your carelessness my friends had to wait outside the school.. don't let this happen again.."

Francis nodded his head and looked down still feeling apologetic "Understood.. Master.. now if you'd please.." He said as he opened the car doors for us to get inside..
