On the flight back to the US everyone was on pins and needles. What happened at the party had them all shocked at what was happening. It seemed the Serpents' reach was farther than any of them could have even imagined.

As they landed at the Chicago airport it was past midnight when Remi let the group know she was taking a lady's room break and would be back quickly before they headed to Roman's mansion. Joining her, Poppy and Chanel did the same.

As the other two women were in the stalls of the empty restroom, Remi washed her hands and checked her bloodshot eyes from the exhausting flight.

When someone entered the restroom, Remi had her back turned, drying her hands with the air dryer. The sound was loud enough to muffle the sounds of the person who was approaching her. She was usually on guard at all times, but she was too tiered to notice the person approching her.
