What's Wrong?

The week went by in a blur. Billie hadn't spoken to her boyfriend yet and Christian and I has been hanging out as always. By hanging out, I mean having sex. Raw intense sex. From having it on the counter of his kitchen to having in his car, to my bathroom. We were like sex deprived animals. And his sex was more thrilling and satisfying than the last.

I wouldn't lie, I enjoy the sex very much just as I enjoy the guy giving the sex. Christian's good in bed, I'd give him that, but it was the fear of not being able to deny that fact that had me. What if I eventually fall for him because of his incredible sex?

"That's absurd."

What?

"You can't possibly fall in love with someone because of their incredible sex"

Why can't I?

"Because it's absurd."

"Billie, I honestly don't know what to do anymore." I groan and rest my head in the headrest of the couch.

"Who did you say this was about again?" Billie asks with a raise in her eyebrows.

"A girl in my major."

"And she opened this quite much to you?"

"We're pretty close." I lie.

"Huh." She nods her head.

"Anyway, what do you suggests she does?"

"I just feel she's addicted."

"Addicted?" I ask with shock evident in my voice and she nods nonchalantly as she flicks through the TV channels.

"She's addicted to sex." She repeats. "Maybe it has been really long since she had sex last." She chuckles and I clear my throat. "But hey, who doesn't like sex right?" She glances at me with a small smile.

Right. Who doesn't like a good sex?

....

"For the assignments, you'll be grouped in twos to work together. Onsite practical will be demonstrated and vivid, clear and outstanding answers must be given. Class dismissed."

This is what I hate about classes. The assignments. And the fact that this particular class ended at 6pm. 6:12pm to be precise.

"I hope we're grouped together on this assignment." Michael sits on my desk as I pack my books into my bag.

"That would be nice actually. At least I won't be paired with a complete stranger."

"None of your classmates are strangers Lesley. You don't just talk to them."

"That's worse." I stand and walk past him.

"Are you doing anything this Friday?" He falls in step beside me.

"None that I can remember." I answer as we walk down the stairs.

"Great."

"Wanna see 'Fall of the Beloved' with me?"

"The part 2 is out already?" I ask and he nods.

"Comes out this Friday." He states as we step out of the building.

"Of course. Let's go see it together."

"It's a da-"

"Lesley!" My head turns to the direction where my name is called and I see Christian waving at me.

I wave back and turn to Michael. "So Friday?"

He nods. "Friday."

"Seven?"

He nods again. "Seven."

I smile. "Great. I'll see you later." I walk towards Christian and he gives me a small smile as I approach him.

"Hey you." He says, his voice sounding tired.

"Hi." I furrow my eyebrows.

"How was class?" He asks. His movements were a little bit slow.

"Boring and stressful as usual." I replied.

"That's nice."

"Hey Christian, are you alright?"

"I'm fine."

"You don't look fine." I state.

He chuckles. "Trust me, I'm doing great. I'm just tired and stressed a little. Nothing a nap can't fix."

"Are you sure?"

He nods.

"Where's your car parked?" I ask him. "I'll drive us home."

"I didn't bring my car."

I raise an eyebrow. "You didn't bring your car to school?"

"I've been at home all day. I knew you were having a late class today so I came."

"Why would you come to school when you had nothing to do there?"

"I wanted to walk you home." He replies, without missing a beat.

I go speechless for a second. "Without your car?"

"I wasn't in the mood to drive."

"And how did you get here?"

"Uber."

"As expected of Christian Sinclair."

"What's that supposed to mean?" I don't know if it was me, but he sounded a little upset about what I said.

I took his hand and started walking. "Well, you're taking the bus with me."

He doesn't say anything on the way to the bus stop, in the bus, and on the way home. It was like he was distant. His body was here, but his mind was already far away.

I stopped walking when we got to my building and I hear a small sigh from him.

"Well we're here now."

"We are." He agrees.

"I'll see you tomorrow okay?"

"Lesley?" He calls my name gently.

"Yeah?"

"Can I please sleep over?" He asks. "My apartment is feeling a bit lonely tonight."

"What about Billie? I'm pretty sure she's home."

"I promise I won't touch you. I swear. I can even sleep on the couch if you want. I just- I don't want to-"

He looked so vulnerable at the moment. So tired, and so drained.

"Of course you can sleep over." I smile.

Turned out Billie was already asleep by the time we entered.

Which is odd.

I showered and changed before going to the sitting room to give Christian a blanket.

"Here you go."

"Thanks."

"Are you sure you're fine Christian?"

"Very much." He nods. "Now tell me about your day."

"We'll talk about it some other time, right now you need to rest and sleep."

"Yes ma'am." He sleeps on the couch and sighs in content.

Whatever is bothering you Christian, I hope you let it out.

"Goodnight." Was the last thing I said before going back into my room.
