Azure Ao paced the room, his hands clasped behind his back. His steps had covered the diagonal distance of Oriole Hart's huge study room.

"The purpose of the metaverse, in the beginning, was to allow everyone to depart from the earth we were from. But it's not in a 'departing to die' kind of way. It's to send our consciousness to live in another realm, free of the burden of our original world," he started the long story of why Chiaki and he came here.

"Was the nature of your original world so destroyed that you guys decided to come here?" Jasper asked, his curiosity blaring. Progressive as he claimed to be, his brain still lagged to catch up with the idea that his colleagues and friends (and bed partner) came from a different realm. It wasn't like anything he had ever read at school.
