Chapter 2

Eloy took a taxi back to school, showered, stuffed her clothes into the washing machine, took the pill, and only after all the steps had been implemented did she calm down and slowly sit down on her bed.

She had been in love, although she had a poor eye for scum. But she didn't have the idea of being matched, not matched with such, her ex-boyfriend's family was rich, she was together when she wanted to be together, she didn't hesitate when she felt the need to break up. But there was also someone in this world she didn't dare to covet, and he was Felix-Blaine, who was the CEO of Blaine Enterprises. His company spanned multiple industries, and he had unimaginable wealth and power for the average person, and was still single.

But his ruthlessness was also an important part of his success story. It was rumored that his elder brother and sister-in-law both died in a car accident, not in an accident, but at the hands of his poisonous power grab. The only son his elder brother and sister-in-law left behind, Allen Blaine, was also taken hostage by him and became his sole guardian.

Allen, also known as her student, was still in high school. She had a good impression of the boy, but she also knew he was terrified of his uncle.

But her concerns went beyond that. Her last name was Fox, and although she was on the fringe of the family, everyone knew that the Fox family and the Blaine family had always been bitter enemies, whether it was old family involvement or business interests, the two families had been water and fire for decades, and no one could tolerate each other. She would not let her suffer double hardship between the two families, did she think her life was too good? She was just an ordinary person who liked to play the piano and just wanted an ordinary life.

So why did she roll into bed with him? How was she going to give Allen lessons after that? She buried her head under her pillow and cursed her stupidity over and over in her mind.

Just then, her cell phone suddenly rang. She turned her body to look at the phone, and the name on the screen was Felix Blaine, and her hand shook. How did she get his phone? She had no memory of it.

Should she answer it or not? Should she pretend she didn't hear it? She struggled painfully for a long time, but finally picked up the phone before the ringing ended.

"I just got out of the shower, Mr. Felix, what can I do for you?"

"We've got a secret between us, so I'm allowing you to be able to seek refuge with me for once, but I also have one condition, you can't ask me to love you."

She found it impossible to understand, she knew every word he said, but together they were strung together in a way that she could not understand.

"I am not a whore, sir, and there is no compensation for a consensual one-night stand.

Also, I would like to take this opportunity to offer you my resignation. I will not be giving piano lessons to Allen after this, I think he is beyond what I can teach and you can hire a more advanced teacher for him. We won't see each other anymore, and I wish you all the best in your work life and in passing Allen's piano exams."

She hung up the phone decisively and deleted the number. She couldn't leave any leverage to the Fox family.

Felix looked at the phone screen displaying the indication that the other party had hung up, no one had ever dared to treat him like that, he felt a twinge of surprise from the experience, a surprise that was in line with his surprise at her, it was getting really interesting. And she had told him that they would not even see each other again, was she so anxious to clear her mind of him? But again, for what? Did her knowledge of him stop at those boring rumors?

He grunted coldly, it was always his call to see or not to see, and nothing she said would be of any use. She didn't want to see him? But he missed her.

No sooner had this unpleasant call ended than Eloy received another unpleasant call, and she sometimes reflected on why the people she hated liked to pile on and harass her.

Her ex-boyfriend's mother, Mrs. Bird, had asked her to meet her, and in fact she had approached her many times in private during her relationship with Klem. She sometimes sympathized with her ex-boyfriend Klem because he was an adult, but his mother still wanted to meddle in everything he did.

His mother was a shareholder in the conservatory and she was at his mother's mercy if she wanted to continue her education. Dressed in a suit sheath, Mrs. Bird sat elegantly across from her.

"I have always admired you because you are a smart person, and smart people are easy to understand some realistic truths. You are an illegitimate daughter, and there is no way to compare with our Bird family's. I advise you to give up early and break up with Klem, so that I can still help you out. Studying music can be very expensive, I guess you didn't have enough even if you worked several jobs, right?"

Klem hadn't told her that they had broken up?

Eloy shook her head a little, she didn't like to lie, but she saw nothing wrong with teasing this lady, she hadn't spent a penny of her son's money anyway, only to have her son turn around and spend it on his mistress. She suddenly felt that she was so at a loss, she shouldn't have divided it up so clearly.

" Okay, actually, I just need a scholarship? Why don't you tuck me into the alternative list? I'll fight for the rest."

She answered too readily, but Mrs. Bird wasn't about to put her on the spot either, as long as she would sign the contract and her son could see the woman for what she really was.

"Sign it," the secretary brought the two contracts over, "You stay away from Klem, and go learn your piano."

With a broad stroke of her pen, she signed with alacrity, "I have work to do, so no more sitting with you."

Eloy wasn't looking for an excuse to slip away this time; although she had resigned her position as the Blaine family's private piano teacher, she had other students and she needed to take lessons this afternoon.

She had gotten the promise of Mrs. Bird's scholarship, but she wasn't going to gamble her tuition on an outsider; she had learned long ago to trust only herself. As she walked outside the school, she pondered whether she should find another student to fill Allen's vacancy.

It suddenly started raining and she retreated to the hallway without an umbrella.

While hesitating to go back and bring an umbrella, she suddenly noticed a very familiar car, slowly pulling up not far away. Her ex-boyfriend opened the car door and held up the umbrella for the woman who got down on the passenger side.

What a match, this pair of bitch couple, that woman was Eloy's former friend, the relationship was not so close, but also together in class, and as a result, she did not know when these two people were lying in a bed, if she did not find it in time, she would have been cheated for how long?

But she was a bit puzzled, why Mrs. Bird would not find her baby boy has changed his girlfriend, or was it that she at least still had a Fox surname, while Miranda's family was so average that it simply did not enter her eyes.

She was pondering here when the sharp-eyed Miranda had noticed her.

"Eloy! You're finally willing to see me?"

Miranda immediately ran towards her, Klem froze for a moment and also ran over with a complicated expression.

Eloy gave a tsk and casually took out her cell phone to inform the parents of her student that she would be a little late because of the rain.

All right, let her meet the bitch couple for a while.
