Chapter 7: Moving Parts

Germaine was sitting directly across from Diego, sizing him up. Diego could feel the apprehension rising from him. He’d spent the last 18 months earning G-Main’s trust, but he knew one wrong move could end everything he’d been working toward. Germaine was a hothead to say the least.

Diego resisted the urge to shift in his seat. He had to appear cool and collected at all times around Germaine. The name of the game was apathy.

“I’m telling you, there were some idiot tourists looking around. Next thing you know that sh*t’s on Instagram. It was a risk.”

“So kill the tourists,” Germaine responded, bored. “Why did I have to sacrifice my sh*t for some idiot kids?”
