Chapter 1 : Reborn
Anika felt pains in her head
She looked around her and felt everything looked unfamiliar.
This doesn't look like her lab, the last thing she remember was when she was in her lab and the flames indulging her in it.
She felt pains all over but with no burns.
She suddenly had some memories which did not belong to her.
She was no longer Anila the queen of the mercenaries who was also the king of poison medicine's.
She is now Anika the eldest young mistress of the Sam's family.
And she has just been rescued by the old maid her mother gave her when she was three.
She was framed by her younger sister who told her father that she had been pushed by her from the stairs .
Her father became so angry that he along side her mother beat her brutally without listening to any explanation from her.
They then left her without caring about her health and left to the hospital with her younger sister.
She was then saved by the old maid.
Who taught she was unconscious .
Instead She died in the process.
But that is not something she is going to tell anyone.
Not even the old maid who has been crying non stop whiles cleaning her wounds.
"I am sorry eldest Miss ,I couldn't save you when they were hitting "
"Who does this to their own child this is evil very evil"
She said as she cries whiles cleaning her wounds.
"Noisy"
"Elder Miss you are awake , thank the Lord "
"You have been unconscious for the whole day , I was beginning to be worried I thought you would never open your eyes again"
She said whiles wailing loudly.
"Water…"
"Yeah sure Elder Miss ,her you go"
After taking some water she felt her voice not hoarse any longer.
She sat up on the bed and tried getting up.
"This body is very weak ,for how long has she been in this state "
Anika thought as she frown.
"Elder Miss do you feel any discomfort, are you hungry ?"
"Hold on ,let me get you some food from the Kitchen "
"Aunty May ,that won't be necessary "
"But you have not eaten anything since yesterday "
"This person has been treated so harshly that she is not even given any food to eat in her own parents house"
"Aunty May that won't be necessary "
"Just get me some alcohol and some painkillers "
"Ok , just give me a minute I would be right back"
Aunty May hurriedly went to get those things
Anika the wounds on the body
And she was surprised that there are some old wounds that have left some scar's on the body.
She signed unhappily
"You were really weak"
She dressed her wounds without any frown or sound .
When she was about putting the medicine in her mouth.
The old maid handed her some milk.
"I know you don't like to take bitter medicines, so you can just take it with some milk"
Anika threw the medication into her mouth without a frown .
She took water from Aunty May and drank it .
Aunty May was soo surprised because Anika has never taken any medication without milk or sweets
"Miss you don't need sweets"
"No" She said coldly
This sent shivers into Aunty May's spine .She felt her miss looked different at that moment.
Her aura and manner of talking has changed.
Even the way she talked , she realised her miss has changed after that incident
Anika realised she has to suppress her coldness toward this kind old lady
Who has been nothing but sweet.
"Aunty May I am fine really I just need you to get me water for a bath"
"Sure ,dear you rest and I would get it done for you in 5 minutes"
Aunty May left Anika in the her room which is actually the storage room.
Anika went through her memories and realise she had been bullied
Because she considered them as her family and yearned for their affection.
But she never realised that ,that gave them the right to bully her
To the extend of beaten her so brutally and leaving her to die
"Well , well ,well who would have thought that she would not 'die'"
"I wouldn't leave them unscathed "
"They would pay dearly for everything "
"Anika is dead , but your dead wouldn't be in vain "
"I would make them pay a price worse than death"
"This is the only way I can thank you for giving me this body"
"I would make them suffer"
The last consciousnesses in the body left right after Anika said those words.
"Your spirit should rest in peace "
"For I will take revenge on anyone and everyone who made your life a living hell."
Aunty May came back and with her help Anika was taken to the bathroom
Right after the water touched the body
Anika winced and hisses
The pains in the body was making it difficult for one to take a hot bath.
Some of the wounds had pieces of clothes sticker to it.
Because they were not taken care of , some of the wounds were and not healed and looked very ugly
Anika carefully took the clothes of the body which result in tearing of the wounds.
Aunty May was about to help her but she was stopped
" Eldest Miss let me help you."
"It's fine Aunty May"
"You leave me here I would come out on my own when am done here "
"Ok, you call me when you need help ok?"
"I will"
She finished with washing up a had fresh clothes on.
Aunty May gave her some food which was just plain porridge
She ate it without any complains
In her previous life she had such foods before becoming the queen of the mercenaries.
Right after eating , she slept off without caring about the pain in her body
The next morning she open her eyes with little difficulty
She made her way out of her room to get some water where she heard the maids talking in the kitchen
"She should have died "
"Such an evil soul ,she pushed her own sister "
"What would have happened if she had lost her life"
"Well she only had a broken arm"
"That Anika should have died "
"No wonder the young master does not like her"
"Well who will like an ugly toad like her who is as evil"
"He is lucky ,he has the young and beautiful miss"
"Who is also kind "
Anika listened without any interpretation to their conversation
She was not surprised the young master of the Adams family was seeing his sister
He had always been seen in public with her younger acting like a perfect couple
The only thing stopping him from going further with her younger sister is the engagement he had with Anika when they were young.
But that is going to change .
She is not going to be with a scotch bag who goes back on his words
She would do everything in her power to cancel this engagement
And make those shameless adultereous pair pay for everything.
