Chapter 2 : The Meeting

"She is a big disgrace to the family "

""I wish she would leave and never return "

"That I wish would come to pass"

The maids continue to speak ill of Anika, like the person they were talking about was not the eldest young Miss of the family.

She walked into the kitchen like she heard nothing

"I need breakfast "

The maids look at her like she was nothing more than a piece of trash.

"I said,I need breakfast "

"We are busy"

"As you can see you can make it on your own, like you always …"

Anika slap the maid before she could finished making her statement.

The maid was stunned, for she has always known the eldest Miss to be timid and would never respond to their sarcastic words.

"I think some things need to change here"

"Don't forget that I am still the eldest Miss of the Sam's family, and you need to speak to me with some respect "

"I want my breakfast ,in five minutes "

The maids were surprised, because they have never sense this imposing aura from Anika before.

Anika left like a queen as soon as she was done with her statement.

The maids hurriedly prepared the breakfast in less than five minutes and served her with fear.

Anika started eating like nothing happened.

The Sam's family came back from the hospital and was surprised to see Anika eaten while the maids were waiting on her.

The Young Miss was very surprised because she knew her sister to be timid and always bullied by others including the maids.

"So you still have the energy to eat after what you did to your sister" her mother said when she saw her

"Mother ,you shouldn't speak to sister like that ,she didn't mean it"

Amira said like the considerate younger sister she was.

"Why are you speaking up for her" her mother said angrily.

"She is the reason you are in this state"

"She is the devil's reincarnated and I regret having her as my daughter " her father resulted

"Dad ,she never meant to push me" Amir said pitifully

"Do you see this, Amira always speaks up for you"

"But what do you do?"

"Always causing trouble "

Said her father like she was a nobody to her family.

The person being spoke to was eating like those around her was nothing but air.

Anika finished eaten and got up like the queen she was.

The family was surprised, because they've never seen that look on Anika's face before.

"Are you done?" She said

Her father forgot about her imposing aura and became very angry as soon as she finished speaking.

"You ungrateful brat"

"You have been nothing but disgrace in this family"

"Now apologize to your sister this minute "

Amira smiled wickedly ,she had always been jealous of her sister beauty and had being playing the act of being bullied by her elder sister since childhood and always act pitiful in front of her parents.

" Apologize? To who"

"I asked you,are you done ?"

"How can an ingrate like you speak to your father like that" her mother shouted

"Mother ,Anika didn't mean that"Amira said l with sadness on her face

"My baby, why are you speaking up for her all the time"

"She always hurt you , and you always speak up for her "

"I don't have the patience or time for all this " Anika said

"And I don't need to explain myself to anyone "

"If she had died , she would have died on her own accord and not mine"

"By the way you've always known, I've been nothing but trouble ,why be surprise about me pushing my dear sister this time"

The whole family was shocked by what they just heard .

They've always known Anika to be timid and never speaks up even if she is being bullied.

But now instead of her usual cry ,she spoke back to her father and mother .

This even shocked Amira the more.

She could sense something was different about her sister but she couldn't pin point what exactly.

"Anika ,how dare you?" Someone roared angrily at the door.

"Brian!" Said Amira affectionately

Anika looked at this person and tried to recall who he was.

She searched her memories and realised this was the so called fiancé of hers.

Whom she was betrothed to since childhood by her grandmother.

"You should be ashamed of yourself" Brian said

"How can you push and your hurt your own sister"

He said as he held Amira's hand affectionately

"Brian, she never meant to push me it was an accident" Amira said like ,she was scared someone would notice her fear.

This didn't go unnoticed by Brian. And it exactly what she wanted him to see.

"You don't need to speak up for her this time "

"And I've always known she bullies you, and this was the last straw"

"Can you two stop acting like the two lover birds that you are"

"Well I don't care about how you feel about each other "

"Amira, if you liked him so much, you should have just told me to give him to you"

"You can keep him. As a matter of fact I've been wanting to cancel this engagement myself "

"And this is a great chance to do that, you don't need to bother about how I feel"

"You can keep him"

Brian was very surprised to see her talked like that.

The Anika he knows, never speaks up for herself not to talk of lifting her head when being scolded.

He sense something different from her and he like it a little.

Amira saw this and was a afraid Brian would like how Anika was acting.

"Brian ,my sister didn't mean that"

This pulled Brian's mind back to Amira

"I would love to continue this play ,but I have things to take care of" Anika said with great uninterest

"Aunty May , please get my bag"

"Su…sure eldest miss"

Anika took her bag and look at the family of clown playing the blame games on her and smirked.

"You, you infilial child"

Shouted her mother .

Anika left without looking at the family of clown .

"Mother, let's just go inside I want to rest"

Amira said while looking pitiful like one who has been bullied.

But within she was proud like a wild peacock who had just won a battle.

"Sure honey" her mother said with great concern.

Amira went out of the house into the yard and realised ,this body was very pitiful.

She didn't even have her own car. But Amira was having the latest Benz which she uses.

She hailed a taxi to the bank.

She recall from the previous owners memories that, her grandmother left her a treasure at the bank.

But the previous owner was so focused on getting affection from her family that ,she lost focused on other things.

Anika entered and went straight to the locker using her memory.

She took out the key and password and opened it.

She was surprised to find a small box in it.

She took out the box and opened it, to find documents and deeds to some properties and a letter from her grandmother.

"Anika,

I know if you are reading this ,then it means I am no longer alive.

I have left you some properties and money which can cater for your needs and can help you.

And it can help you live a comfortable life. I would want you to always be happy "

Anika took the box and held it close to her heart. She, the queen of mercenaries had never been emotionally before. But at that moment she felt a sudden saddened after reading that letter.

"Grandma, she is going to live well"

"I would never let myself be bullied by anyone anymore"

She said with coldness and determination.

Annika left the bank and hailed a taxi to get back home.

The first thing she wanted to do was to get out of that house.

She was still thininking of all this when suddenly the taxi stopped.

It had collided with an uncoming car.

The driver got out and was arguing with the driver of the other car .

She got out and was surprised that they have collided with a Rolls Royce car.

The driver was still arguing, when she was walked over and started arguing with the other driver

"You should watch were you are going next time"

"I should watch were I was going?"

"He cross my path , and that result in the accident right now"

"Well from the look of things, you are just the driver I would like to see your boss and talk things through with him"

"My boss doesn't speak to strangers, expecially crazy strange ones like, you who doesn't know how to differentiate right from wrong"

Anika was not one to suffer at a disadvantage, even if she is the one at fault.

Right before she could vent out more on the driver, a pair of long legs came out of the car and what came in sight was a the most beautiful sight she had ever .

Narrow eyes with a long nose and a kissable mouth inviting one to kiss as soon as one sees it.

Anika was stunned until he spoke.

"You do know you can go to jail for what just happened " he said with his deep soothing voice.

Anika was brought back to reality ,and was very angry that he started blaming thing on the other party.

"Your driver is the one who needs to go to jail for this"

"There are street cameras around ,we can get it checked to see who is at fault here"

The driver was a little scared after hearing that. He thought he had collided with a rich person who would just give him money after causing a scene. He never knew he would be so unlucky to meet a rich and principled rich boss.

"How much would it cost to repair this little scratch on your care"

Anika said as she didn't know that it was the driver who was at fault.

"The cost of repairing this car is $20,000"

"And that would be for just minor damages"

Anika was shocked ,cause she never knew it would cost that much.

In her previous life ,her fiancé was the one handling all her money so she she never knew anything about things like this.

And as it stands, she is presently having only $15,000 in her account .

Which was left by her grandmother.

"This is where you are suppose to find me"

He handed out his card to Anika.

She was shocked when she read the name on the card

She knew ,she was in great trouble this time.
