The Things That Were Borrowed

Unsurprisingly, as soon as class ended, the three of them immediately gathered around Daisy's table and laughed at her. They also scolded Myron for not having a father. Myron clenched his fists in his seat. In the end, he stood up and retorted with a red face. But it was obvious that the more Myron retorted, the more they mocked. Myron still had no intentions on turning it into a physical fight.

Daisy wanted to hold Myron back, but since she didn't have enough strength, she was pushed by Myron and almost fell. The paint hadn't dried yet as it dripped down her skirt. I felt my hand shake and saw Rowling's eyes turn red as she looked at her daughter.
