Chapter 3- Part 1

[Haru Norman's Point of View]

-Knock-

-Knock-

-Knock-

I was awoken by a slight knocking on my door.

I glanced at the clock. 2:32 am.

Curious, I got out of bed, and walked towards the door, gently rubbing my eyes.

I opened the door and my eyes grew wide.

Ally Black.

She smiled and fell on top of me, as I quickly caught her, regretting the choice immediately after as she smelt terrible.

"Are you drunk?" I spat, gently placing her on the doormat.

"What? No!~" She slurred, and I knew for a fact that she had drunk more than she should have.

"How did you even find my house?" I looked around for anyone she might have come with, but all I saw was a bunch of dimly lit houses, streetlights and trees.

"I didn't. I just stumbled wherever my feet took me, and it happened to be your house.~" She spat.

"You know, there are more people in our campus that live in this neighborhood too. Someone could see us." I looked around, praying everyone was deep in slumber.

"I don't care... I just want you." She tried to purr, but failed miserably as she was barely half awake.

"What? No!" I blurted out, not regretting the fact that I didn't let her in my house.

"Why? You have a crush on me! And this is your chance to have all of me for one night!" She smirked, and thought the offer was somewhat tempting, I was too disgusted to think of obliging to the suggestion.

"Come on, I'm really good in bed!" She stood up, barely able to keep balance, and threw herself at me. "Please?" She pouted, playing with my shirt's collar.

"No!" I pushed her away. "I hope you reach home safely. Goodnight!"

I tried to close my door but he put her hand through a small opening. "Please!" She yelled.

"Ally, if you don't leave right now, and if you ever show up near my house ever again, I'll be forced to file a retraining order against you." I spat. "Good. Night."

I pushed her away, slamming the door at her face.

"No. No. No!" She banged at the door, making me grateful to have locked it by now. "Haru! Haru, open the door, please!"

But I didn't care, and went back to bed.

How did I ever have a crush on that piece of spit?

~~~
My eyes slowly open as I groaned and closed my alarm clock.
Stumbling out of my bed, I waddled towards the washroom before closing my eyes and slapping my face with freezing cold water.
(I looked up and saw a young looking woman with crystal blue eyes.)
My eyes snapped open, water still dripping from my face and corners of my hair.
That's right. The woman from yesterday. I never got her name, huh?
(Wavy light brown hair reaching up to her waist.)
I smiled to myself, as I wiped my face with a tissue and began putting toothpaste on a brush I grabbed, stuffing it in my mouth and moving it around my teeth.
Removing the brush from my mouth, I wash it and gargled my mouth before spitting the water out.
'Love is when someone gives you dreams like no other.'
'Tell me, what is love to you?'
I paused, wiping my mouth of the remaining water that barely covered the corners of my lips.
She is right.
What is love to me? What is it that made me fall for Ally? Did I even fall for her in the first place?
What is an ideal love for me?
I closed my eyes, looking up.
The setting evening, wearing a calm moonlight ray.
A beautiful dark light scattered among flowered.
A calmly perfect night spent under a blanket.
Whispering sweet nothing in each other's ears.
Perfect.
I opened my eyes and held onto my washroom counter, putting my pressure on it as I looked at my reflection in the mirror.
'Love is a bond that writes its own story.'
I exhaled deeply as I walked out of my washroom, opening my closet, yet not paying attention to it.
I looked out the window that displayed a perfect view of the yet rising sun, hardly covered in its last bits of moonlight.
"How I wonder what will become of this new story."
~~~

I was in the library, drawing doodles in my diary when someone sat beside me.

I looked up to see one of Ally's minions who didn't seem very happy when she recognized me.

"Oh, it's you." She rolled her eyes.

I gave her a polite smile and a single nod before directing my focus back to whatever I was doing, expecting her to do the same.

"Who's that?" I looked at her again, to see her peering over at my diary.

Confused, I looked at my diary and that's when I noticed it.

Apparently, I had sketched multiple pages of the ocean eyed woman from that night.

My mind seems to have taken a liking to the woman over a small time-span.

~~~
"Why, who do we have here?" A high pitched girl's voice caught my attention as I was heading to class. "Haru Norman."
I recognized that girl as one of Ally's minions that was giggling behind her during the 'incident' in front of the whole campus.
I decided not messing with them would give me mental peace so I just rolled my eyes and started walking away.
"Of course, he's walking away! He's too humiliated to face us!" Another girl's voice laughed.
Someone needs to tell them that almost half of the university (along with me) doesn't care about that incident anymore, but I just continued ignoring them and walking away.
What I wasn't expect was the kick that followed my action, throwing me to the ground.
"Look at us when we talk to you, you pitiful brat!" The girl from before yelled, whatever either of their names were.
I just sighed, picking up my books and standing up, dusting my shirt before starting to walk away again.
But by now, everyone's eyes were on us.
Just because they didn't care about other people's business doesn't mean they won't spare a glance if there's a show in front of them.
"Yeah, right!" A different girl's voice called out. "Walk away like the coward you are! I bet you can't bear the pain Ally's love have you."
I unwillingly snapped.
"It has pain hidden between the beauty. Pain that has no medicine."
I turned around, facing the girls with a glare.
"You know," I started, calming myself down. "You guys really have guts facing me, saying that barely a handful of people know your names. You're basically titled as 'Ally's minions.' Don't you get tired living as her literal shadow?"
Everything went silent, as the girls looked at me in shock.
"Th-that's not true-"
"Yes it is!" I interrupted one of the speaking girls. "I can't even recall a single one of your names!"
The girls looked around, embarrassed, before turning around and leaving.
I rolled my eyes as I went my own way as well.
I better not be late for those bitches or else their dead.
