What the hell happened in the dining hall?
I had stormed out of the dining hall in anger and even now, I was still so damn angry as I couldn't stop pacing around my room like a mad woman.
Sitting on the edge of the trundle, "Pumpkin?... Hero actually called me pumpkin and he actually said he wasn't insulting me, like seriously?" I said to myself as I immediately stood up and went to stand in front of the dressing mirror, trying to figure out what exactly was wrong with the dress I wore.
The spaghetti strap orange dress I wore was very well fitted, it had a side slit and also had fancy designs on it. I might not like the colour orange but the dress was beautiful yet, he said I look like a pumpkin. I tighten my fists just by thinking of what he said as I returned back to the trundle and sat on it, leaning my back against the headboard.
I tried reading a book to get myself busy but the word "Pumpkin" kept playing in my head over and over again.
I'm not fat, so, why would he call me a pumpkin.
I'd rather spend the rest of the day in my room than having to go to see him and ask him why he called me a pumpkin.
The knock on the door retreated me from my thoughts and it foolishly made my heart skip a bit.
Hero... He was outside my room. That arrogant man had actually come to see me after insulting and making fun of me in the dining room a few hours ago.
I won't open the door, he can stand there for all I care.
I thought to myself and heard another knock on the door.
This time around, I had the urge to open the door.
No... I won't open it just yet.
I said to myself and immediately shook off the urge of wanting to let him in.
Should I really leave him to stand there? Who knows, he might have come to see me because he wants to apologize. Maybe he was right about the dress. The color orange is way too flashy for my skin, he's a man and he knows what suits me better than I do.
I thought and it was at this point that I realized I didn't hear him knock again.
Could he have gotten upset and left?
I asked myself before I immediately stood up from the trundle, walked up to the door, twist the door knob and pull the door open with the thought that he might have gotten upset and left but I was wrong.
He was standing right there, looking breathtaking as always.
"You didn't come out of your room ever since you left the dining room, are you still upset?" He inquired wearing a calm face but I kept quiet.
I wanted him to give an answer to his question himself.
"Hmm... OK then. I'll take that as a no." He paused, "I just wanted to know if you're alright and I'm glad you are. If you need anything, I'll be next door." He trailed off and walked away.
What an arrogant man... He couldn't even say he's sorry for calling me a pumpkin.
I thought to myself and slammed the door before I walked back to the trundle.
He actually came to see her and check up on her. He also knew she was very offended by his words and hadn't gotten over it from the angry face she had on. But, he doesn't want her to know much he cares about her and how much he admires her. He shouldn't be feeling this way towards but strangely, he can't help it. He just can't help it. He also just couldn't figure out why he cared so much about her.

The cool breeze caressed my skin as I shut my eyes and enjoyed the moment. I had gotten bored in my room and decided to come sit in the garden. I loved the feeling I get whenever I sit in the garden. I love the touch of the breeze on my skin and I loved the air cause it was merged with various scent of the flowers in the garden, filling the surrounding with a wonderful frequent. Various thoughts flooded my mind that I didn't even realize how quickly the cloud got dark.
The air suddenly became cold and the scent of fresh squeezed oranges filled the air.
That scent... I could recognize it anywhere, even if i was in my dying bed, I knew that scent too well by now. Slowly, I opened my eyes and I was right.
Raman walked up to the garden chair and sat next to me.
"Hero... What are you doing here?"
"Why? Can't I come out and sit in the garden?" He asked and gazed at me.
"Of course you can." I replied but he didn't say anything. The only thing he did was gaze at the dark night sky.
"Ain't you tired of being home all day with no place to go?" He asked but didn't tear his gaze off the sky for once.
"Of course I am. But, I don't know this kingdom so I have no idea of where to go." I replied.
"Then come with me." He said and I looked at him with curiosity.
"Where hero?" I narrowed my brows.
"Would you mind if I told you a secret?" He asked and finally gazed at me, sharing eye contact with me.
"No I won't, tell me." I replied and I watched him take a deep breath.
"Rather let me show you." He said, stood up and took steps up to me, standing in front of me with a distance of about five feet. "Come." He said and I stood without hesitating. It was like I was being compelled but I wasn't, I walked up to Raman and stood at least two feet away from him.
Raman crossed the little distance between us and stood very close to me and, all of a sudden, I felt his strong masculine hand hook around my slim waist and he pulled me closer to him that our nose were almost touching.
His hands were cold yet heat ran through my body, I could hear my heart racing in my chest as I couldn't help but stare into those silver eyes.
He finally placed his other hand on my left shoulder and pulled me into his embrace.
In that very instant, I felt like I was falling into a deep tunnel, it was scary and I could feel the strong force pulling me in.
But, in the blink of an eye, everything was back to normal.
Slowly, I opened my eyes and the first thing my gaze landed on were his beautiful yet piercing silver eyes, I didn't even realize or notice how hard I clung onto his sleeves or how tightly his arms were wrapped around my waist, holding me firm.
For some reason, I felt safe in his arms, I just couldn't explain it but, I felt extremely safe in his arms.
Raman finally pulled away and I came back to my senses. I looked around and realized we were in a hayfeild.
"Why are we here?" I inquired.
"Because I wanted to show you something. I know how much you love nature... Just take a look." He said and I turned my gaze to the direction he spoke about and I immediately fell in love with what I saw.
Fireflies had filled the entire hayfeild and it lighted up the place, it was beautiful. A wonderful sight to behold as a big smile made its way to my lips.
I took steps forward, admiring the beauty of the fireflies and the beautiful touch it gave to the hayfeild.
The light the fireflies gave out was beautiful but it gave him the chance to watch her admire the art of nature with a smile on her face.
He loved seeing a smile on her face. A huge part of him loved it so much that it made him willing to do anything just to make her smile.
Taking steps up to her, "Do you like it?" He asked with his hands crossed behind his back.
"Huh...huh... It's beautiful." I replied, "I've never seen this much fireflies before in my life." I said and turned my gaze back to the fireflies that were busy flying around.
I admired them flying around, lighting the place up till they slowly began to disappear.
"How were you able to do that hero?"
"Hmm..." He creased his brows.
"I mean the thing you did earlier. How were you able to bring me here?" I asked in curiosity.
"Hmm... I have some tricks off my sleeves." He replied and gazed at me, "Don't ask further questions, we'll talk about it some other day." He trailed off and looked away and I remained quiet.
"Do you want to go home now?" Raman asked.
"Hmm...mmm. Not yet." I replied and continued watching the fireflies, each and every one of them till every last one of them disappeared.
"I think I'm ready to go home now." I informed.
It was getting late and we needed to rest.
"OK then." He said and once again, he pulled me into his embrace and we got home the same way.
"Thanks a lot hero." I said and he forced a little smile on his lips.
I tried thinking of what else to say to him but nothing came out of my mouth. My head was in a mess and my heart was racing so fast in my chest, I felt nervous.
Not only did I feel nervous but I also couldn't explain how I was feeling at the moment.
"Goodnight hero." I said and took a step but immediately halted in my tracks, "Hero..." I called out, causing him to halt in his tracks and turn to gaze at me, "Hmm... I really don't know if I should say this but, if you don't mind, can we check out the remaining part of the mansion? I really want to know how it looks like on the inside."
Nodding, "OK." He briefly answered and I couldn't help but give out a small smile and a low gasp.
"Goodnight." I said and finally headed to my room.
