"ELLA!!" Raman screamed out before he immediately teleported him from the rooftop.
He was quick to catch her in mid air despite the force that was pulling her down real quick and in a moment, they were back on ground.
Raman held Ella really close to his chest and his grip was really tight on her small body.
He could hear himself panting and he could feel the heavy rush of andernaline run through his body, he could feel his heart thundering against his chest.
He suddenly felt her wobble in his arms and lose balance, his tight grip on her body prevented her from falling to the ground.
Pulling away a bit, "Ella..." He called out when his gaze fell on her unconscious face. Losing his right arm from her body, "Ella..." He called out again and tapped her cheek a bit but still no response.
Pulling her close, he made her lean her head against his chest before he teleported them both to his room. Picking her up, he carried her in his arms and gently laid her on the trundle.
Staring down at her unconscious face, "Ella..." He tapped on her check again but still no response. He immediately placed two fingers under her nose to check if she was still breathing and thankfully she was as he couldn't help but feel relieved a bit.
"Come out." Raman ordered the man who was hiding away in the dark. His voice clearly screamed out anger.
Finally making himself visible, he bowed to Raman, "I'm really sorry I came unannounced my lord." Oliver's voice came in.
"What the hell did you that for HUH??!!!" Raman yelled at him.
At the moment, he was trying to control his anger and not do anything irrationally.
If he could have it his way, he's hook his claws around Oliver's neck and instill some pain in him tonight. But, he won't do that. He won't want to begin growing suspicion in Oliver's mind.
"I'm sorry my lord, I didn't mean to. I just wanted to come check up on you. It's been a week since you left the demon world and you haven't called out to me for anything but I was amazed to see a human in the house so I decided to stay and watch her to see if she was some sort of threat or something..."
"You've been here all day?"
"Yes my lord, I was very surprised when she could sense my presence and I also couldn't seem to get inshde her head which was the more reason why I decided to stay and watch her. When I saw you appear out of nowhere, I decided to let you know of my presence but I guess I emitted too much energy and..."
"Yes you did." Ramsn butted in, almost yelling at Oliver, "You emitted so much energy that you scared the fvck out her that it almost led her to her death. What if, just what if I hadn't been able to catch her on time? You should have left the very moment you realized I wasn't in the mansion. There was absolutely no need for to scare her and almost lead her to her death. I'm not a human that you need to check up on, I'm a demon and I can take care of myself, you don't have to do that for me." He paused and heaved out a sigh, "I want you to leave from here and never show up until I call out to you." He instructed.
"As you wish my lord. I'm deeply sorry." He said and bowed his head to Raman and was about to teleport but stopped when Raman's voice came in.
"Hold on a sec..." Raman said, his eyes fixed on Ella.
There was something he needed to, something that might lessen her fear a bit when she finally regains consciousness.
Slowly moving his hand across her face, he opened his palm and some part of her memory was floating in his palm.
He had just wiped away her memory from ealeir on. He had to, it was necessary.
When she wakes up, she won't remember what she saw that made her fall from the rooftop, he'll just come up with some make believe stories to tell when she asks about everything.
Stretching his hand out to Oliver, "Take this with you and throw it away somewhere."
Walking up to Raman, Oliver collected the memory that was floating in his palm and disappeared into thin air.
At the moment, he couldn't help but blame it on himself.
If only he had been home, this wouldn't have happened.
For the first time in his life, he experienced what it felt like to be scared to death, for the first time in his life, fear spiraled through him.
Gosh...
What the hell is going on?
Why is all this drama suddenly taking place in his life?
He asked himself and dragged his hand through his hair.
....
Slowly opening my eyes, I gently blinked thrice to clear my foggy vision.
I could feel a sharp sting my head as I placed my palm on my head.
"What happened?" I asked myself, my voice coming out as a whisper.
Images from last night came rushing back to me but strangely, my memory seemed kinda messed up.
The only things I can remember is leaving the mansion to go sit on the rooftop cause of the constant fear of something watching me continuously, the fact that Raman returned home late last night and that I spoke to him and the fact that I fell off the rooftop for some reason that I can't make out.
Wait... Am I dead?
Could I have died from the fall?
I asked myself in panic as I immediately sat up and pinched myself really hard to assure myself if I was dead or alive.
"Ouch..." I winced in pain and I couldn't help but feel relieved about the fact that I'm still very much alive.
Finally observing the surrounding, my brows creased when I realized that I was in Raman's room. The room was cold and still gave out that sweet scent of fresh squeezed oranges but strangely, he was nowhere to be found.
Where could he have gone?
Where could he be?
Could he have left again?
I thought to myself.
I was just about climbing down the trundle when the sound of the bathroom door cracking open caught my attention, and my heart couldn't help but race like it was gonna jump of my chest when my gaze fell on Raman.
