Not Okay In The Head

[RINZLER]

Despite the shitty situation they were in, his manhood jolted as soon as his eyes landed on his mate who was in a fetal position near the swimming pool, completely naked, defenseless, and whimpering softly.

Rinzler advised himself to take one step at a time, "are we okay in the head or is this the final thread to dying?" How could they think of listening to Marina's cries as she called his name sweetly, moaning louder for him to twist her nipples?

Shivering, "get a grip on yourself." Whispered Rinzler while he squeezed his legs, almost tripling over. The whimpers from Marina got louder as he neared her, "Mate, I am here." Rinzler said while bending. Before his hand touched Marina's hair, he shut his eyes. The erected manhood was to blame, right?

"Please, moon goddess, I know I have sinned, or else you wouldn't always put me in difficult situations, but I beg you today." He rose, his hand went to his trouser and remade it. He bent and continued his humble prayers, "I am dying, I would love to die in peace and not go down as a bitter rapist alpha who didn't know what no is."

A mist appeared on his forehead, he sat on the floor next to Marina and murmured, "mate, I am going to hold you now."

If it were any other wolves, they would have jumped on their mates already, but for Rinzler, it was different. He knew how much Marina hated when someone jumped on her out of nowhere, yes she appeared defenseless but he couldn't risk it.

He removed his shirt and covered Marina. Pulling him to her, he was confused as he smelt the scent changing. "Marina, it is me. Rinzler. Your mate." He spoke. Almost finished with, "yours faithfully, rejected mate."

"Dad." Marina cried.

"What did you do." Rinzler thought. He placed his right hand below Marina's waist and the other around her, then lifted her from the floor. The small light from the moon made him smile, the moon goddess decided to grace him with her presence.

When they arrived at the closed door, he wished he could kick it. Instead, he pushed it with his back. A painful cry from a coyote and the creaking sound of the door at the same time almost made him lose his grip on Marina. He could see his sister's face when he joked about his heart skipping because of a coyote's cry.

Marina nuzzled her nose deeper into Rinzler's chest, "Dad."

Rinzler sighed, wishing he could wake her up and explain everything to her. He would apologize then they would share a romantic kiss, and laugh about it. And maybe, just maybe, makeup sex? "You wish," Rinzler mumbled while heading to the bedroom.

Contemplating on whether to switch on the light or not, Rinzler found himself rubbing his nose onto Marina's hair. He stopped when he heard the front door opening, "Marina, did you invite someone?"

His eyes switched to his wolf's, carefully placed Marina on the bed, and covered her while looking at the door. "This is bad." He mumbled. As he moved away, he felt a hand on his wrist. His eyes darted around the room; his behavior was foolish.

"Please, don't go," Marina begged.

"You are a walking corpse for sure." His wolf was back. Rinzler rolled his eyes and leaned in.

"I promise, I will be right back," Rinzler said and smiled when he felt Marina letting go.

As of the moment, he was the best fighter the pack had. He and Savannah have been joking about it with to their father and uncle, and their father always answered, "because your uncle and I are getting old." While their uncle would say, "your father is sucking the life out of me."

The intruder in the house was the least of his concern. He tiptoed, thinking about how he would convince her to return to the pack so he would follow the plan. "Breathe in." The wolf said.

"Ivy?" Rinzler called.

"Correct." The wolf answered cheerily.

He felt his body stiffness disappear as he followed the noise into the kitchen, "how did you know it was her?"

Boastfully the wolf said, "she smells like…hospital."

"Aren't you supposed to be in the hospital?" Rinzler asked in amusement.

Ivy turned around, unbothered by Rinzler's lack of shirt, and she replied, "someone torched it."

"Sorry. Are you okay?"

Shaking her head, Ivy crossed her arm over her chest, "it was a joke. I am hungry and I need something from Marina's office."

"Weren't you lying on a hospital bed not an hour ago?" Rinzler asked while staring at Marina's bedroom door.

Shoving Rinzler out of the kitchen, Ivy responded, "hey, go. The hospital cleared me, and I am okay."

Rinzler bobbed his head up and down and went to the bedroom. "Marina?" He called.

"In here," Marina shouted from the bathroom.

Rinzler wore his shirt and went to the bathroom. He found Marina resting her head on the corner, "Marina?"

"Get in." Marina's voice shook.

Removing his clothes, he wondered why he even bothered to wear his shirt in the first place, he placed them neatly near the sink and stepped inside. Marina offered a smile at him, he return the smile with a sweet grin and squeezed some shampoo onto his hand.

The rejected alpha washed his mate's hair, smiling like a buffoon, lathered her body, and washed it as if he had all the time in the world. As he was drying her, he whispered, "my love, our pack…"

Marina interjected as she walked away, her hair still damp, "I need some sleep."

"Of course," Rinzler said. Dejectedly, he dried himself and followed her to the bedroom. There was no problem in waiting, only a few hours to morning. Right?

He woke up to Marina thrashing and screaming, he soothed her till she returned to sleep. He spent the remaining hour staring at his beautiful mate, wondering where he went wrong. A few minutes later, his phone vibrated.

Worried that Marina would wake up if he jolted up suddenly, he slowly removed his hand from Marina's head and placed her head on the pillow. His heart beat slowly as he picked up the phone from the table, he moved away as he answered.

"Broken." One word from the caller and he began trembling.

Quickly, Rinzler wore his clothes, picked up his car keys, and left. Propelling to the Lake, he couldn't help but wonder. "Am I running away from my mate?"
