91.The Systems Arrive

"Really?!" Abigail's eyes were wide open. Of course, she had a huge grin on her face and her eyes were on the brink of leaking tears.

"Mm, mm" Dante nodded in return while smiling at her.

Abigail couldn't contain the excitement she held within her and so she leaped onto Dante and hugged him tightly while expressing her gratitude.

"Oh thank you, thank you, thank you D."

Though he could feel her modest 'flat' C-cup bust pressed into him, he didn't say anything about it after he noticed how her hands were clamped tighter on him.

He smiled in return at her childish reaction. She was a very good friend of his and he knows she has his best interest in mind.

But right now they were both in need of power and to obtain it they would have to sign a contract.

"Are you ready?" She asked and he nodded in return.

A grimoire appeared on Abigail's hand. She opened it and read its contents.

"xxxxxx"

Abigail uttered some words which were referred to by the locals as the language of magic itself.

Witches were known to be the best spell casters in the world due to their knowledge and understanding of the language.

A fleeting moment later, a burning paper appeared before them both. Although the paper was burning, still it remained unscathed.

They both slit their thumbs to allow a few drops of blood to drip on them.

And while Abigail continued her enchantment, the blood coagulated and merged to form two signatures of their names on either end of the paper.

Soon the air around them began to fluctuate. The magic crystals that illuminated the dining room became dim and the next thing Dante knew,

*Thud*

His body began to warm up from deep within and he involuntarily dropped to the floor making a thud sound.

"Dante!!" Surely Abigail didn't expect this reaction and so she yelled his name in befuddlement.

Those were the last words he heard before his consciousness drifted away.

*******

Right now, Dante seemed to find himself in a nostalgic spiral staircase leading to the bottom of a building the length of a tower.

He continued to stroll down towards the end of the stairs. On getting there, a huge golden gate stood before him.

This wasn't the first time he had seen such scenery. Most times, he had tried opening the gate on his own but the results remained the same as always.

But something seemed different this time around, the gates were already opened even before he could reach it.

His current hypothesis was that there wasn't anything wrong that occurred while they were trying to form the pact.

Still, he hoped Abigail was okay.

Her perplexed and trembling voice was the last thing he heard before heading toward here.

Not to dilly-dally around unnecessarily, Dante headed straight into the large gate and the gate closed on its own voluntarily as he entered.

Upon entering, he found himself surrounded by a thick mass of white mist. Everywhere was simply colored white.

It was really difficult to differentiate one thing from the other.

Not knowing exactly where he was headed, he kept walking.

With no sense of direction, Dante could only keep going.

After strolling seamlessly for what looks like an eternity, he finally laid eyes upon someone clothed in white.

"Oh?! You're here. That was fast." The white-haired man said, standing up from the cloud-shaped sofa he laid on just a while ago as he approached him.

Merely scrutinizing him from the top to bottom, Dante noticed he had the appearance of a wise old man, added to the fact that he already had white colored hair with black colored irises with wrinkled skin around his face.

The old man's lips widened into a grin as he spreads his arms wide saying "Welcome,"

But Dante remained cautiously reticent.

The old man gestured with his arms, urging Dante to calm down after noticing how alert he was. "Please do not be alarmed world walker for I mean you no harm,"

"World walker?" Dante had never heard of such words before. The old man noticed his expression and he exclaimed.

"Ah! Yes," He sent a radiant smile towards Dante's way.

"It's what I call those who had crossed between worlds." He asserted while slowly approaching Dante.

Dante squinted his eyes a little knowing that the old man had just confirmed he knew something about him.

This was enough reason for him to be on guard even more.

Nonetheless, he calmed his nerves and tried to evaluate the situation he currently found himself in.

Strangely enough, he hadn't sensed or felt the old man's Aura.

Anytime he tried doing this, the nostalgic feeling Dante felt whenever he tried to sense the aura of some old men who were in the peak hierarchical position of the Church came to mind.

He had always had the idea that those guys were simply too strong for him to gauge the aura they emit.

Of course, the thought of those men lowering the aura they emit came to mind also, this would in turn make it difficult for anyone to gauge their strengths.

Dante took a defensive stance, urging the old man to speak up. "Who are you? And why am I here?"

The man sighed a little and paused before heading towards him any further.

"I am the one who maintains the order of the world you know around you," He said, spreading his arms wide as he glanced toward the sky.

Well, since there wasn't really a sky but only mist around him, he could only look at the mist on top of him.

The old man pointed towards his right side and the thick mass of fog present there dispersed, enabling them to view what looks like a rising sun with the rippling image of the sun reflected on the sea underneath.

"My job is to ensure that everything stays the way it should be," He continued.

As Dante gazed at the scenery before him, he couldn't help but feel relaxed with an immense feeling of comfort creeping toward his heart.

It was as though he had finally witnessed his oasis after strolling across a scorching desert for what seemed to be an eternity.

"Oh! I'm also the one tasked with gifting world walkers their system once they had crossed the path towards immortality." The old man confirmed.

"A system?" Dante had a look on his face that was clearly saying he had yet to fully understand what the old man was saying.

"Of course, that's why you're here," The old man confirmed, clapping his hands together.

Two roulette appeared before them both. The one at the right looked like a bluish-white disk containing various intricate letters in what looked like a pie chart with hundred even sections.

Each section had its type of system, ranging from the bakery system, the assassin system, the merchant system, and many more.

On the left side, a dark red disk divided into the same number of sections stood before them. The intricate letters written include various types of systems also, much like the aforementioned one. The Systems include the lust system, the gluttony system, the womanizer system, and many more like that.

"Since you've got two types of blood in you, you've been granted the luxury of spinning two roulette with the right and left roulette meant for the human and demon race respectively,"

Dante understood that since he had both human and demonic blood in him, he had been granted the chance to spin two roulette.

'Now spin,' The words were uttered directly into his mind and just like that, Dante uttered the same command inwardly.

*Spinning, Spinning*

Both roulettes began to spin at an uncontrollable pace, a tiny red pointer stood at the top of the roulette which served as the indicator of what his system would be.

Fifteen seconds later, both roulette stopped spinning.

"Oh! I have to admit, it is a rather bizarre and unique combination,"

The old man said, gazing at the two choices of system Dante had opted with.

The right roulette stopped at the section called The Shopping System while the left roulette stopped at the section called The Arousing System.

Though he had yet to fully comprehend what this meant, still he couldn't help but feel excited about it.

After all, it seems reincarnated beings like him were afforded this luxury, so this meant it was a way for them to become accustomed to their new immortal self.

"But I still feel nothing," Dante said while scanning himself from top to bottom.

"Oh! No need to worry about that," The old man waved his hands, urging Dante not to think too much about the matter.

"The changes should take effect once you've returned,"

"Although you world walkers never ceases to amaze me, it is always pleasant to witness how you people persevere various hardships placed before you and I'm really glad to see a fifth world walker becoming an immortal in the same year,"

"Things certainly seem to be heading towards a never-ending period of fun," The old man tittered as he headed towards his white cloudy sofa.

Thinking the old man wasn't going to say anything else, Dante hurriedly asked.

"How many world walkers were granted two systems?"

"Two were afforded a system and just like you, two more were awarded two systems for the race they belonged to. Of course, their names and races will be kept confidential,"

The old man giggled a bit. "Oh! It seems our time is up,"

The old man suddenly stayed quiet as he pondered a few things before curtsying towards Dante.

" I've got other things to do but as you take your leave, I would like to be the first to congratulate you on becoming the fourth Prince Of Darkness,"
