A Vampire Lord awoke from his Eternal Sleep plagued with visions from another world. When he broke free from his coffin, he was met with two beautiful ladies who took shelter from the rain. Before he could drain them of their blood and refocus on important things, one of them spoke up.

“You have a heart.” she claimed.

“You need to get your eyes checked by a doctor.” He snorted. Wait. What the heck is an ophthalmologist—?

There were a couple of things that Rose had a problem with. The way that the Vampire Lord acted that sometimes reminded her of an ordinary person… when the grand and amazing presence also gave way to someone simpler.

Not that there was anything wrong with simple.

But it reminded her that this incredible Vampire… was also still an individual.

Not perfect. Prone to their own biases and their own misconceptions, beliefs and etc. Why did he choose to let that Huntress Sprin free? It ended up with him needing to hunt and chase down after her. Why did he choose Keira over Rose in running after the girl?

Maybe the latter made sense. A lycan could be faster.

But it still made her realize that this person that she swore herself and Eleanor to was not omniscient. Even the gods themselves did not know everything… so why had she expected that from the Vampire Lord?

This was probably why Rose was frustrated now.
