Madness and Movement (2)

In the most simplest of words–Keira panicked.

She knew that Cassius Blackwell was not perfect, nor entirely good but she liked him.

And now he was gone.

The beam of light that evaporated the Vampire Lord came from no other than the moon.

There was a look of satisfaction in the Alpha Zeros' face and even her father, Kael looked disturbed.

For the most part, Keira just stood in the same spot she had been.

She hadn't moved in it for the longest time.

How long had time passed? A minute? An hour? It stretched longer than that in her eyes.

"Is this a message from the goddess? We need to wait for more–"

"We might incur her wrath if we linger any further. We had associated ourselves with that Scourge."

There was a division between the Shamans, the Blood Moon Ritual long forgotten.

"Keira, I think your father wants us to go back now. To the forest."

Shaman Lysa meant the Traveler's Roads.
