It was true that he had quelled her worries about subjugation of Averon, but her feelings held.

Compared to Rose who looked devastated at Keira's words of the Vampire Lord vanishing–she was more or less prepared for him to disappear.

There was a limit to how much power a single individual could accumulate.

And the fact that Cassius Blackwell got involved with gods accounted for far more danger.

If the Vampire Lord had been content to grow his power and fill in his ranks with newly made Vampires–perhaps it was possible for him to grow in strength in another thousand years.

For a being who had all the time in the world–she saw him as rash.

But that was because she was not dealing with a Vampire Lord who operated on pure intellect and rationality.
