Chapter 2

It's been 2 hours since the doctor was locked inside the room.

He has been pacing forward and backward worrying about his own safety.

"If only I didn't listen to his words, I wouldn't have to go through such a situation" the doctor was blaming himself for going along with his colleague's request who was supposed to be on duty here that day.

"I can only blame my own soft heart for all that" the doctor continues.

Suddenly he could hear gunshots sound but it was quite faint..

But the sounds keep getting louder and louder as if the enemy is getting closer to the room the doctor was staying in.

The closer the sounds get, the more nervous the doctor becomes; As he is afraid that this might be really his last day in this life.

Now that the doctor feels that the door of death is looming upon him. He regrets having a fight with his girlfriend a few days ago. He also regrets not visiting his own parents even more.

At beginning the fear overwhelmed the doctor as he was afraid that he would die along with the other soldiers, but later on sadness took over the dominance as he knew that his loved ones back at home would weep over his death when the news.

The doctor couldn't accept this fate as he still had many regrets that remained unsolved. So he lept over to get his scalpel and stood behind the door to attack whoever enters the room in the back From their blind spot.

Suddenly he heard the screaming of the two soldiers who were guarding his room, they started firing their guns immediately..

A few moments later the silence filled the place.. this silence was interrupted by the sound of the door knob as if someone was trying to open it.

The doctor was standing still behind the door while holding his scalpel firmy.

Eventually whoever was trying to open the door gave up and the doctor let out a sigh of relief as he loosened his grip of the scalpel.

About 30 minutes elapsed since then, the doctor was curious about the situation outside. But he was afraid that there might be enemy soldiers waiting outside for him, eventually he gave in to his curiosity and opened the door himself.

As the doctor was walking down the alleys, he noticed that the corpses of the soldiers lying down on the ground were slashing with something sharp.

Moreover the edges of the cuts were so wide apart and they were irregular.

Even if the enemy soldiers supposedly used swords to fight. A sword should create clean cuts but those wounds were obviously caused by something else. This confused the doctor a lot.

Finally as the doctor approached the site where the box was dropped, he noticed something that seemed like a big pile of flesh that was Greatly deformed; it seemed like some sort of an animal.

As the doctor was trying to figure out what was that, he suddenly could hear footsteps approaching him, so he took cover behind some ruins that were caused from the fight.

Finally the soldiers Reached the side with a commander leading them.

That commander had a really big scar over his left eye and his hair was white even though he seemed to be middle-aged.

He gave out an order to all soldiers standing behind him… "Check if there are any survivors."

"If there is any, you are permitted to shoot them onspot."

"Make sure that no one can leave this camp alive."

The soldiers followed the order scramming to check every body and make sure that they all are dead.

A few minutes later a jeep came to the site as well, and some people came out of it, they were wearing lab coats and had weird hairdos.

One of them said with an irking smile on his face: " This one lasted 2 hours and 15 minutes"

Another one continued: " That is right, we are making improvements."

A third one rejoiced saying: " As long as we keep going we will definitely achieve our goal."

The commander interrupted them with dissatisfaction signs on his face: " how many subject trials do we have to do before we achieve that goal.."

He continued in a threatening tone: " You better do a better job, I won't want to lose more manpower just for your crazy trails."

The men in lab coats seemed unfathed by the commander threats, one of them replied arrogantly: " Your threats won't work on us"

He continued saying: "if you want to blame someone, then blame your superiors."

The commander turns his face away and spits on the ground showing his annoyance and helplessness.

As I was observing them I realised a shocking fact; the soldiers and the commander wore uniforms that had our country insinga on it.

" It seems that this all was planned by our own country and they shift the blame to the neighbouring enemy country instead." The doctor thought to himself.

From the shock the doctor took a few steps back but he didn't expect that the ruins that were hiding him would collapse.

The soldiers noticed right away and aimed their guns at the doctor. Since the doctor didn't have any option he raised his both hands up in the air giving in to them.

One of those soldiers took the doctor to the commander.

"Sir Commander!! We found a doctor as we were surveying" the young soldier said proudly

 in a loud voice.

The young soldier had a big smile over his face expecting that the commander would praise him.

Unexpectedly the commander took out his gun and shot the soldier's right thigh.

As the soldier fell on the ground and rolled over from the pain, the commander shouted angrily at him: " Are you stupid?! Didn't I say you can shoot on the spot?"

After the commander told off his soldier he moved his gun pointing at the doctor's forehead.

The doctor was begging him to let him go and he promised him that he won't let out this secret.

"A dead man tell no tales" the commander said in a cold tone

Just as the commander was about to pull back the trigger one of the men in the lab coats stopped him.
