Full Force

Derrick stood still trying to process what had just happened. "Quickly now, we don't have much time, give me your hand." Azrael  ordered. Reluctantly, Derrick obeyed and let the older angel take his hand as he felt a sharp pain on his back. "Woah woah hey! What the heck was that?!" Derrick asked as he withdrew his hand from Azrael's.

"Do not worry about your back. The injury will heal shortly. I have marked you with the archangel sigil, you should have the power capacity of an archangel, with your demon powers in addition. Now go!" Azrael urged him impatiently as the room began to crumble around them. "He's coming back with reinforcement, I must leave to protect here at once." Azrael said as he prepared to leave the room. "Woah woah wait, where are you going? How do I leave?" Derrick asked panicking as the ground slowly began to give way beneath them. "Lucifer plans to enslave all of creation if he wins this siege with you, that is why I marked you with the sigil... so you can be ready."  With that, Azrael disappeared. Derrick fell through the floor and landed onto the ground below loosing consciousness.

As Derrick woke up, he found himself at the clearing he had been in before the while fiasco.  The sun was setting behind the horizon, and a soft breeze blew through the grass and trees. He glanced around, seeing nothing except for the empty space that he planned on making his secret hideout. Suddenly, he heard someone running behind him.  His head whipped around to see the seven demons approach him. "Derrick where have you been? Are you hurt?" Wrath asked as he helped him up.

"I'm fine, really. I had a vision and I went into hiding but there's something you need to know." Derrick said as he got on his feet. "What is it Derrick? We're worried for you." Sloth added as they walked closer to him.

"Lucifer has a Lance of his own, and I fear it may be powerful enough to cause a dent on mine." Derrick stated bluntly causing Wrath's eyes to widen.

"Lance? Why would Lucifer possess such power? Is he truly capable of hurting even an archangel?!" Wrath exclaimed.

"That isn't important right now. I met another angel, His name is Azrael..." Derrick paused waiting for a reaction. All seven demons suddenly grew still. A silence enveloped the clearing as everyone tried to comprehend what they'd just heard. "What..What did you say?" Sloth finally spoke.

"Azrael? An archangel named Azrael?! He is one of the most feared enemies we have ever faced!" Sloth shouted in anger. "No, listen, Azrael helped me, he showed me... Heaven, and it was lovely, utterly amazing." Derrick pointed out.

Everyone seemed confused until Derrick continued. "He gave me the sigil of the archangel, I think that's what they call it." He said as he turned around so they could see it on his back.

"That's right... That's exactly what it is, the mark of the archangel sigil." Sloth said quietly.

"But I don't understand why he'd help us. Why not kill us?" Derrick questioned.

Sloth looked down then sighed. "Look man, you're an epitome of pure power, A full force not to be reckoned with..." Sloth paused. "But you still need to be careful at all times, I know my father. He's vicious in every way possible." Sloth said as he clenched his fists. "You all have nothing to be worried about I promise." Derrick said reassuringly. "Let's get going already, it's late." Wrath said annoyed with their current situation. "Lead the way coach." Derrick said sarcastically causing the other demons to laugh as they walked towards the woods.

When they got home, Derrick and the demons were met with a strange sight, standing before them were two angels that looked like they've been waiting for their arrival for a long time. "Ah, good evening." One of them greeted Derrick and the demons cheerfully.

"Why hello. You guys look busy tonight, what's going on?" The other teased while the other first angel laughed. "Great, more angels. Can't I just come home to a normal situation?" Derrick said as he raised his hands up in the air in exhaustion. "I told Raphael to tell you lots not to intervene, and I'm dead sure I was audible enough." Derrick said with a frown. The first angel looked down for a moment before looking back up. "Sorry, we came because our leader wanted to see you immediately, we'll try and keep quiet as we follow you. But before we begin, allow me to introduce ourselves... I'm Aniel and he's Metatron." The second angel introduced before looking at the demons.

The second angel looked down and smiled. "Now I believe you have questions?" Metatron asked Derrick. "Uh, yeah actually." Derrick answered as he crossed his arms. "Well first off, WHAT ARE YOU DOING IN MY HOUSE?!" Derrick responded as he clenched both his fists. "Azrael sent us, I believe you're familiar with him." Aniel replied with a smile.

"Oh, so this was HIS doing, But why would he want to see a demon prince such as myself?" Derrick asked sarcastically. "He wanted to speak to you about something important." Metatron explained. "Something important huh?" Derrick muttered. The demons looked over to each other before turning back to Derrick. "I don't trust these people man." Sloth said as Gluttony and Envy nodded in agreement. "You dare use your filthy mouth to spew words demon?!" Metatron yelled angrily. "There names are Sloth, Gluttony and Envy. Just because you have a stupid name and a halo on your head doesn't mean you can speak like this to my friends.." Derrick snapped before taking a step closer to them.

Metatron stood there shocked by Derrick's outburst. "I apologize. It seems we aren't used to talking to... their kind." Aniel said sheepishly. "Pardon us, but we're in a bit of a haste. And you must come with us." Metatron said as a bright light erupted from his body. Derrick covered his eyes as he stumbled back. When he could open his eyes he was no longer at his apartment, he was in the room where he had an encounter with Azrael. "The master will be with you shortly." Aniel said before leaving the room.

Once Aniel and Metatron left Derrick turned to face the demons looking nervously around them. "You guys okay?" He asked softly. They didn't respond instead glancing at each other nervously. "Hey, look at me!" Derrick said waving his arms in the direction of them. They still said nothing as tears formed in their eyes. "This is ridiculous! Stop being scared and talk!" Derrick exclaimed as he stomped his foot. "We're not scared, we're amazed Derrick. We're one one of THE first demons to set foot in Heaven after three thousand years." Sloth said looking at Derrick seriously. "It was a long time ago, but we still remember it all too clearly." Envy added, tears were now streaming down his face. "And we never thought we'd ever make it here again." Greed admitted quietly. "We don't deserve to live. But now we're here and we're alive and free!" Wrath shouted triumphantly. "And it's all thanks to you Derrick." Lust said with a warm smile on his face. "That's why we're going to do everything we possibly can to save Earth, Heaven and Hell from Lucifer. Even if we're not strong like Azrael, we're still stronger than any of those demons! And together we'll be victorious..." Pride paused as Derrick raised an eyebrow. "With you of course." Pride said as Derrick chuckled and shook his head slightly. "Alright, alright you guys are crazy."

After what felt like centuries Azrael finally walked in the room wearing a black trench coat with white gloves underneath. "My apologies I wasn't expecting such a large crowd, what was the occasion?" He asked as he looked at the demons surrounding Derrick. "Think of it as my entourage, they go where I go." Derrick said boldly as he turned back to look at the demons behind him.

"Well, in that case welcome back everyone." Azrael said happily as he walked closer to the group. "Why are we here Azrael?" Derrick asked curiously as Azrael smiled proudly at him. "I'm afraid I have bad news." Azrael confessed. Derrick took a deep breath before sighing. "Okay, what's the issue?" Derrick said sounding upset. "Lucifer doesn't plan to just begin the apocalypse, he intends to enslave all of Heaven, Hell and every other domain the Lord has created. I fear he might have a winning chance, seeing as my father isn't in the universe as of now." Azrael finished.

They all glanced towards one another as their faces began changing into expressions of shock. "You said he intends to take out Heaven and Hell. How does that work?" Wrath asked as they all remained silent. "His only plan is to capture or even destroy every single angel he comes across, then he'd absorb every demon he's ever created..." Azrael took a short pause before looking at the demons behind Derrick. "And I mean every demon in existence." Azrael finished. "And where's God in all this?" Derrick questioned as he glared at Azrael. "Away... No one knows, he won't respond nor give word to any of us. He disappeared along with some of his own children, but I don't doubt that he still watches over us, he's always watched over us from the beginning." Azrael explained.

"So... First he creates you guys, you all make a mess and now we, a couple of rejects are supposed to fix it? Nice, really nice." Derrick spat as he folded his arms. "Do not say such things about yourself Derrick!" Azrael roared angrily. "Oh come on, stop acting like you care about the future of the entire world." Derrick argued calmly.

"You do not understand how much my Father cares about this world! If he did not care about it you wouldn't even be here. "Whatever, I'm leaving c'mon guys." Derrick said as he pushed past the others and began walking away from Azrael. "Derrick wait!" Azrael exclaimed. "I SAID I'M LEAVING!" Derrick snapped over his shoulder. As he began to walk faster, so did the rest of the demons who followed in order to avoid conflict. "STOP!" Azrael roared. "No! If God can just take a leave of absence like that then why can't we?" Derrick replied as he gnashed his teeth. Azrael paused briefly before he spoke again. "Lucifer has a weapon of his own and we're running out of time, he's already begun consuming demons. I do hope you know what you're doing." Azrael said as a bright red light erupted from his body teleporting Derrick and the demons back to their home.

Alastair awoke in what appeared to be a dungeon, as she tried to move she was drawn back by the chains that held her back to her seat. "Wha... What is this?! Release me at once!" Alastair cried as she struggled in her restraints. After a few moments the door to Alastair's cell opened. In walked two very intimidating men. One had black slicked hair and blue eyes, while the other had dark gray hair and brown eyes. "Hello, hello there!" A voice said as another man emerged from the shadows causing Alastair to gasp in fear. She couldn't see his face due to his suit that made it difficult to see, however she knew instantly it was Lucifer. "Good morning Alastair." Lucifer greeted, "how've you been?" he asked politely as Alastair glared at him. "Lucifer!" The man next to him growled menacingly causing Lucifer to chuckle and roll his eyes. "Let her speak." He said as he motioned for the man to stand beside his partner. "I am sure you are wondering how we found you." Lucifer stated causing Alastair to glare even harder. "What is this place?!" Alastair demanded as both Lucifer and his partners laughed at her. "Now Alastair, don't be like that. You're making yourself look like a fool." Lucifer stated as he motioned for one of his associates.

"This... This is my cage." Lucifer said as a sinister smile curved up his face. "Thid is where you die unfortunately." He continued . "Why are you doing this? What are you planning to gain from killing me?" Alastair asked as the man next to Lucifer approached her. "Well first off, I need power. The demon prince seems to be more than ready to take me out and I... I can't just let that happen. Not after what father did to me y'know? So in order to have the higher ground, I need every ounce of power I can get, starting with the demonic essence you all carry." Lucifer said as he approached Alastair slowly as he placed his gloved hand on her forehead. Suddenly Alastair could feel herself being sucked out of her physical form. However before her body left her mind she managed to send a distress call to the seven demons as she let out a loud scream before crumbling to dust. Lucifer inhaled deeply and closed his eyes tightly for a moment as his hands trembled. "That's more like it, and now for you two." Lucifer said as he charged towards the two demons that guarded the doors to his cage as he began sucking their essences out, a loud scream echoing through the corridor.
