That night, Jolene couldn't sleep at all. The argument kept replaying in her head over and over again and for the first time, she was regretting her life choices and what kind of example she has set for her daughter. She was also making up weird scenarios where Sierra was dancing at the bar and old men were staring at her creepily, which made Jolene very uncomfortable.
In the very next room, Sierra was also twisting and turning in her bed, unable to sleep. All she wanted was to make Jolene disappear from her life because she couldn't tolerate the sight of her anymore.
The next day, Sierra woke up and got ready for school. Jenny and Jolene were already sitting at the table, having breakfast. Sierra walked in and ordered Jenny to come by the door in 5 minutes and Jenny did so without saying a word. Sierra out of anger, and jolene out of guilt, kept ignoring each other as if they did not existed.
They both left for school and Sierra was unusually quiet that day, Nalene and Adrien noticed and did their best to cheer her up but it seemed like she was tangled up in her thoughts and did not wanted to get out. The school day was over and Sierra went home, then she went straight to Jolene's room. Jolene thought she is going to start a fight again, the way she burst into the room, but to her surprise, Sierra hugged her and started weeping.
"I am sorry for what I did, I am really sorry" Sierra said while her voice was cracking up with emotions.
Jolene was now at relief and hugged her back and said.
"I am glad you realized it early, it's ok. Everybody makes mistakes"
"I really am sorry, I will talk to Daniel and leave this job right away. Once again I am sorry"
Jolene was very happy at how quickly Sierra realized her mistake and how gently she owned up to it. That night Sierra went to the club and after finishing her shift, she stayed there to talk to Daniel. They went into the room and had a long conversation. When they were done talking, they both stood up and shook hands in a professional manner and Daniel walked her up to the door.
"So, it's your final decision?"
"I planned it really briefly, it is my final decision"
After Sierra left, Daniel made some phone calls and planned out for the next day.
When Sierra got home, Jolene was waiting for her in the living room, Sierra gave her a reassuring smile and said "I left it" Jolene was very happy and they both ate dinner Jolene made. Then they watched movies and sang their favorite songs for the rest of the night. Tomorrow was Saturday so Sierra suggested that they will have a "girls day out" with all three of them and Jolene agreed. The next day Jolene borrowed one of her friends car and they spent the whole day out shopping, visiting the kids park, having long drives and at the night, they went to a fancy restaurant and ate until their stomach were stuffed. On the way home, Sierra asked to stop at the gas station and grabbed the juice cans for them, she put the change in jolene's purse and pulled Jenny in the front seat, onto her lap. Jolene was a little disappointed that Sierra handed her the already opened can because she sipped some of hers, but she drank it anyway because Sierra would not stop praising how good the drink was. After twenty minutes or so, Jolene could feel her head getting heavier and her vision blurring out, it was kind of experience she went through whenever she overdosed. It's weird she thought to herself. Far away she could see a truck approaching from the opposite side with very bright headlights on which made her almost go blind, it was approaching with quite high speed and suddenly she could not move anymore, it's like her body went numb. Sierra was watching this all and without missing a beat, she unbelts herself, opens the door and rolls out of the car to the other side of the road with Jenny still clinging onto her body. Now they were lying on the cold road and they both watched the car get absolutely crushed against that giant truck, the glass shattered and the car turned into a mess. It was over, Sierra thought but Jenny still hoped that Jolene would survive.
The next twenty four hours were absolutely terrifying, the cops took out the dismembered body of Jolene and searched the car and Jolene's belongings, they found packets of cocaine in her purse. Then they interrogated the girls and Sierra told them the whole story of how Jolene became a drug addict. It was now clear to them that the truck driver was innocent and they let him go. They asked the girls if there was someone they could leave them up to and they both told them about there aunt Falene. The gave Falene this news and she came through to pick the girls up, she was also interrogated and after that, they let her go. After arriving at her house, aunt Falene did her best at comforting them and then put them to sleep.
"Everything worked out like a charm" sierra thought to herself "I didn't knew that Jolene was that dumb, I thought she might put up a fight before going down, or at least connect the dots that what was happening. But all that would have been useless anyway. Now the only thing is left is the life insurance dad left for Jolene, then I could leave for London. and finally start a new and peaceful life. Ah finally, I earned my freedom" she thought to herself before falling asleep to the sweet dreams.
