"What does that mean mum?" Paula was exasperated. She could all the memories of past flooding back her mind and there was no escape. Even if this wasn't exactly her mother, she needed answers. She was resisting every tingle in her body to yell and cry. She didn't know where that came from but it was here.
"Don't use that voice with me? You are not my mother, I am your mother." Her mother said, very firm and exactly in character of her actual mother back in her reality. She could see it now, the resemblance. However much she tried to convince this was not her mother, she knew this was exactly her and the Paula of this reality too deserved a little bit of closure.
"Exactly. I am not your mother and still you act like an immature child." Paula totally lost it by this time. She had no idea how to control her words or she just didn't want to. Either way, the words she spoke were going on like bullets from her mouth and she didn't care how it hit her mother.
