New challenge (Edited)

"You ready?" Jeff called as he fixed a watch on his wrist. Amy nodded and stuffed the hotdog in her mouth before running after him. They got in the only black car available.

"Aren't you going to punish them?" Amy asked as she was in the car next to him. Jeff started the car and looked at her as he took the car out of the compound.

"You want me too?" she shrugged.

"I am not an angel to ask for their forgiveness, what if it was an emergency?"

Jeff smiled secretly. He couldn't believe she was actually in the same car as him. He had done everything to make sure they used the same car for the first time, including asking the servants to fake misplacing the key to the garage leaving Amy with no choice. Partly because she had some meetings with the local teams she was planning on supporting.

"You don't look like one," he answered casually as he held the steering wheel with his left hand.

Amy ignored him and instead focused on the skyscrapers that were coming into view. The Blue city looked amazing in the morning when the sun was still rising giving it a distant glow. Then a thought passed in her mind. "Jeff, do you have a penthouse?"

"Hmm, why?" she shrugged, in her mind, she was imagining what kind he had and the view from above there, especially in the evenings and mornings. "You want one?" he asked.

She was tempted to say yes, but no, he was already doing so much for her and she was doing nothing for him in return except troubling him more. Besides she had her little dignity to save. "No, I was just curious."

"So, what are you planning to do with your future? Your music career?" Amy frowned who gave him the role to be her father? "It would be good if I know, I can find ways to help you, wife."

She rolled her eyes; oh he knew how to address her when he was intruding in her affairs. "With all your influence you haven't found out that yet?" she asked lifting a brow, obviously mocking him.

Jeff grazed his lower lip with his lip. "You know I don't do that."

Fully turning to him, she studied him for any clue but his poker face was leaking nothing away. "Maybe it happens in novels." She shrugged and returned her gaze to the city view. she couldn't believe that Lucy was starting to actually influence her

"So you aren't telling me?"

"Why don't you find that if you're powerful enough," she turned to look at him. "Afraid or not able?" a half-teasing half-mocking smile graced her lips.

A sly smile tugged on his lip. "I can, what if I find out, what's the prize?"

Well, what could she give him? He had everything he wanted. "I don't know really."

"If I get the answer in six days I want you to be driving me to work every day."

That didn't sound so bad. "In six days, hmm?" he nodded.

"Six, no backing out Amy."

She gave him a face. "Why should I? I am not a chicken." Oh, she's got an ego, he thought and smiled as she dropped her.

"Call home when you want to leave." She nodded and jumped out as he drove away. She watched until the car was out of sight before getting into the public hall where she had agreed to meet the local authorities responsible for the teams.
