Jeff squinted his eyes as he crossed his arms and for some reason, he seemed to grow more taller than her. Amy clammed her lips shut. There was something about this Jeff that just made her want to burst with laughter. With his lips shut, his eyes almost narrowed and his face showing that he was trying to be serious, in some funny way, he seemed to cut a comical picture.
His aura hadn't gotten suffocating yet and she was now more than sure that he wasn't angry, no, she gritted her teeth. This guy had just woken up and realized that he had nothing to do and decided to come bother her. There was no way, Jason and Lucy could have gotten in his property without his knowledge, nothing ever happens without him being aware. So, why was he here?
"Jeff, what are you up to?" she gave him a face that said that she was very much aware of what went on that big crazy, good looking— wait, no, what was she even thinking. After taking a sharp intake of breath, she shook her head. There was no way she was still normal and calling Jeff's head good looking. Even if the whole world worshiped his looks, she would still deny that she found him good-looking.
"Hmm?" he cocked one of his perfect eyebrows, damn, she was about to jump on him. She looked away before her body moved on its own. Why was this man getting more handsome, was he seeing some witch or was she the one running mad instead? Her eyes widened as air squeezed out of her chest.
What if she was? She knew living with Jeff wasn't going to be easy but madness wasn't something she expected so soon. She moved back, determined to put some distance between them, until her back touched the wall, Holy cows, if she could get mad this earlier, what was going to happen when Jeff lets Stephanie move in to the villa? What about when they decide to have kids? Was she going to be alive by the time the little demons those two could bring to the world would grow up?
A flicker in the forehead brought her back to reality. "What are you even thinking about?" Jeff asked watching her keenly for any clues.
Amy clicked her tongue and twisted her mouth in a crazy manner. A** hole, was he looking down on her because she was short and she couldn't spank his head heavily? Ungentle man. She cursed him in her head.
"Jeff, hubby, please leave before that crazy girlfriend of yours think we have something going on." Jeff moved closer causing her eyes to widen in horror. What…why was he moving near her? She was already on the wall and this man was moving towards her?
"So, what if she does? Huh?" he cocked a brow, he was so hot, damn! She cursed and pressed her back on the wall.
Her brain clogged, her tongue became heavy and her throat dry, why was this happening to her and why now? She whacked her brain for words to save herself. There is no limit to what Jeff could do, he was a monster. This seemed to help her brain unclog and make it function normally.
"Jeff, what are you doing…" now it seemed that her tongue had developed a mind of its own. "I didn't want Stephanie to mistake this. I mean, it's not like I think there is something between us, I can literally divorce you and then you can marry her. I will still live with you as your wife but Stephanie would be your legal wife. That way you both can find happiness and satisfaction. I can even move out of the mansion as long as you find me some place decent…" stop, just stop, what was she saying? Her hands someway managed to make way to her face and covered her from Jeff's amused eyes.
Did this monster have to be delighted by her shame? Was she really surprised? F*ck you mouth. She thought inwardly. And to hell with fate was it really asleep or did it have a thing for her father and was against her mother and her for that? From the way things were going, it was as if fate was her step-mother!
Remembering that she was before Jeff, she looked up and almost passed out. The man was standing before her, smiling deviously, too close for her liking and her comfort. "I like the way you look when you're thinking," he said a sensually, slow, soft and husky voice that almost had her jumping out of her skin.
Was this a confession, a joke or a new way of torturing her. Knowing Jeff there was no way he would be up to no good. Oh please, fate, you might have been interested in my father but for now, if you have a little bit of emotion in you, save my poor a*ss, she thought.
Just then, she heard one annoying voice somewhere nearby. "Jeff," it called. Relief washed over her as she managed to slip away from Jeff the moment he raised his eyes to meet his annoying girlfriend.
