A prisoner in the villa (Edited)

"I can't believe you let that man make you stay here, it's as if you are a prisoner."

Amy watched Helen in silence as she ranted about pacing the room in a way that made her a headache. "When you finish ranting about, sit on the bed." She got up and took a glass of fresh fruit juice, sipped it, held her silk gown, and walked to the balcony. She couldn't believe that Jeff had actually locked her in the villa for two days.

The only place she was allowed to go to was at Grandpa. It was as if she was actually grounded, escorted heavily by guards. Funny enough even her parents had never grounded her and here she was, hmm, grounded in her marital home! She sipped her juice as she gazed at the blue clear sky. The sun was at midday and she was in no hurry to do anything.

"Baby girl, your phone," Helen opened the screen door holding her phone to her. "Jay, who's the guy?" Helen asked, curious as usual.

Amy frowned and grabbed the phone from Helen. She had only received her phone network today. Yes, literally, her husband had enough powers to make her phone run out of network. Like she was holding an empty thing, no network, no anything. Receiving the call, she placed the earpiece on her ears.

"Jay"

The sweet cheerful voice came from her phone making her smile. "Amy, I missed you," he said in a fake weeping tone.

Amy chuckled at that and ignored the funny weird and strange looks Helen was giving her. "I missed you too Jay tell me how's mom?"

"Fine, she misses you…"

She didn't even let him finish. "I miss her too, pass my greetings and love." Her voice dropped. "I am sorry, I couldn't give you a house, support, and everything I had promised, Jay."

Jay quickly answered. "No, it's fine, it isn't your fault. But are you really married to him?"

Exhaling, she ran her tongue over her bottom lip. "Yes, I'm married to him, it was an arranged marriage, you know what rich folks do."

Some silence reigned. "So, you actually come from a rich family. The Belington's I guess." From his tone, she could tell that the matter didn't sit well with him and she actually felt guilty for not informing him. But then, was there even an option?

"Yes Jay, but you see I have to remain married to Jeff, he owns the world."

"I understand what you might have gone through…" her eyes shifted to Helen who was acting, wait, no, it didn't look like acting, was she using signs to communicate? Well, she didn't need to worry for long because she felt a hand snatching her phone and placing it on the loudspeaker. "I love you and I will find a way to rescue you, my love. Wait for me."

Her eyes almost popped out. When did their conversation get to love? And what was Jay doing, confessing? But that wasn't even her problem at the moment, the problem at the second was what was running in the mind of the man with her phone. She watched him via her eyelashes and met his piercing, sharp eyes on hers.

Of course, the room had been deprived oxygen. Her eyes fell on where Helen had been standing and whoa, the lady must have left ages ago. Yeah, it was just her and the angry monster. She forced a smile. "Ohm, hello Jeff." These days she was just getting more and more stupid if not dumber. But what to do, she didn't want to get grounded again.

"Change into something comfortable, I am taking you somewhere." There was no emotion in his voice and Amy's smile cracked. Was it that bad? Really, was he not even going to allow guys to flirt with her?

"Okay." She passed him by the door and opened the screen door got into her room and headed straight for the shower.
