Chapter 17: Aiden Ravert:

He was dressed in a white t-shirt and black trousers. He looked very smart. I noticed he was almost up to Uncle Roberts's height, so he was almost 5"3. How old was he? "Hi," I muttered whilst blushing. He used his hand to brush his hair and waved a hi. Uncle Robert and Damian joined me and sat down. The boy stood in front of us and began to introduce himself "My name is Aiden Ravert. I'm 14 years of age. And as for how I ended up here, I have no clue. But where are the kidnappers?". Uncle Robert looked at him and asked "Kidnappers? Who's your father?". Aiden looked up and replied, "I'm the third son of Ravert House,".

Where have I heard that name before? Was it a noble house? Aiden Ravert... Aiden Ravert. Oh...OH... The second male lead... Why is he appearing so early in the book? I remember that Damian doesn't meet his love rival until a few months after Eveline and Aiden meet. They first met at a debut ball held by Baron Smith to introduce his adopted daughter into high society. And who was that adopted daughter? It was Eveline. She saved the Baroness when she almost fell off the cliff. The couple only had sons and very much wished to have a daughter. Hence to thank Eveline they decided to adopt her. She was given a new status however Eveline was still tormented by Lexi and Camilla.

There are 12 noble families not including the royal family. Each family is in a charge of running something for the Thedo government. In this sense, the Ellis family (Grand duke's family name) is first line generals if there was a country invading Thedo. However, I remember that the books start when the government is peaceful and well run however after a few 10 years the country next to us began to have some ruffles with the Thedo Kingdom. The Statina country was known for miming its stones near the borderline between the two countries. But it becomes a problem when the Statina country wants to vent more into the cave. The cave is spilt in half so that both countries can benefit from the miming. But the statina country has been miming too much and giving too little to the city so it leads to a civil conflict and the only way to solve this civil conflict is to get more money and upgrade their citizen benefit. If the Thedo Kingdom allows this to happen then they'll lose more money because what is mined in the mines is sold to a different country to gather more income. If they don't have this set of income the only thing the government can do is increase the taxes. And most areas are already struggling to pay taxes already. Hence a war was launched just to fight ownership over the mine. The grand duke was sent to fight for our country alongside the second prince. The grand duke ended up dying when saving the second prince. He died... Hence Damian was given the title Grand duke. When he becomes grand duke, the first thing he does is send me into excel so I need to make sure the grand duke doesn't die yet. But that wouldn't happen until a few decades so I don't need to worry about that yet.

The Ravert family is in charge of Thedo citizens' education. Thedo government is quite modern compared to some other governments. They lend money out to the poorer family for them to send kids to school, and hopefully, those kids would grow up to help the country in return. As far as the book described the Ravert family had 3 and 2 daughters. Aiden is the second son. The story follows Damian when he is younger but not much is mentioned about Aiden until he meets Eveline. But Aiden is known as a handsome young man who has a good temper with everyone. Quite unlike the one in front of us...
