Chapter 48: The voilet Garden:

Back to Camilla Pov:

I walked along with Damian towards the Violet garden and I suppose he could tell I had something on my mind because he asked the servants to follow us further away.

As soon as they were away from earshot. Damian asked straightforwardly if I was okay. I nodded and thanked him for his concern. He must've realised that I looked a bit off because he was still looking at me with concern in his eyes.

I rolled my eyes and assured him I was fine. He looked away abruptly. Did I offend him?

I looked around at all the flowers surrounding the little pathway. The Rose garden was a separate garden to the right of the violet garden whereas the violet garden was the main garden. The violet garden started from the back of the manor all the way to the end of the manor.

As we continued walking I remember the description of the end part of the written in the book. Even The withered flowers will bloom whenever they see such a sight' This was not an underestimate. The flowers at the end were so tall reaching to just above my knee. For Damian, it was easier to walk because he was taller but I have short legs. I was literally trying so hard to walk and not fall over. I signed as my body tried hard to pass through the flowers. If it was with my old body I would've passed through this easier. The amount of energy I'm using to pass through this place. Goodness sake.

Seeing my efforts Damian laughed heartily and I screamed for him to stop laughing. He stopped laughing at once and I noticed his eyes had a lingering fear. I wonder why. The maids behind me were also shocked probably because I hadn't screamed at the top of my lungs for a long time. I dropped my head down and muttered a quick sorry. Damian quickly went back to his previous expressions and walked up beside me.

He walked in front of me and kneeled down. I didn't get what he meant so he picked my legs up and placed me on his back in the most awkward way ever. "What are you doing? Put me down." I ordered however he shook his head and ignored me. I noticed the maids were walking really close to us probably so I don't fall off and hurt myself.

Seeing as Damian wouldn't let me go, I began to lean onto him and I could gently feel his heartbeat. It was more than the normal beat of a man. It was beating so quickly that I began to wonder whether he was okay. Am I too heavy? Why is his heartbeat so quickly? Was he ok? Is he sick? Thoughts like this kept on racing throughout my head as Damian carried me.

"Hey... you can put me down if I'm too heavy," I suggested Damian shook his head and replied that I was lighter than him. I'm not sure about that statement as we haven't measured our weights. But he did put me down when we reached the clearing.

In this Rose garden, the first part was filled with flowers in the pathways and then it was filled with high grass that hadn't been cut but was well maintained. Then we would reach a clearing with a small lake and bridge. At the back of the manor was a forest that most hunters would enter inside to catch predators however it was quite dangerous for people like us hence, we were banned from entering there. This was how the book explained the landscape of the manor however that was far too modest. The amount of wildlife living here along with the beauty of the flowers was amazing.

In the clearing, there were many little Daisy. I watched over my steps to make sure I didn't step on any. But this was really difficult due to the fact that this clearing was filled with daisies. Damian laughed at me as I finally gave up and decided to sit down. He walked over to me and sat right next to me whilst sighing. The maids also stood far away to allow me and Damian to talk.

Looking at Damian, I have got a good idea of what to do. Damian looked at me and noticed my eyesight and moved a few inches away. I glared at him and pulled him back. Smiling at him, I whispered, "Let's make a daisy chain,". I noticed that Damian gulped and I was so confused about why. Was he allergic to flowers? I don't remember him being allergic in the book...
