Chapter 50: I just realised how I don't know much about you:

This chapter is still in Damian's POV:

"

Are you allergic to flowers?" she asked as I shook my head. Does she not know what it means when a female gives a male a bouquet? Perhaps not, after all, she is but a child yet I am an adult trapped in this tiny body. But why was my heart beating so quickly when she suggested making a daisy chain? What exactly is this feeling, I'm expressing?

Damian stops being a paedophile. She is but a child yet you are a full-grown adult. I thought as I carefully watched Camilla show me how to make a daisy chain.

"Firstly you, pick your daisies. Look for daisies with thick stems at least 4 inches (10 cm) long. Look for healthy, fully open flowers for a more beautiful chain.

Secondly, you'll slit the stem with your thumbnail. Cut a small slit through the middle of the branch, without breaking it in half. You can cut this just below the flower, or halfway down the stem.

Thirdly, thread the stem of another daisy through the slit. Push the base of the stem through, until the flower is snug against the slit.

Lastly, repeat everything with any number of daisies. Make a slit in the next daisy and push the third stem through it. Repeat until you've made a bracelet, crown, or necklace. When you think your daisy chain is long enough, cut a second slit through the first stem. Push the last daisy through this slit to make a loop.

And there we have it," explained Camilla. I wonder how she knows all of this. I mean it's not common knowledge. And I know for sure that she has never made a daisy chain in the orphanage. So where exactly did she learn all of this? "Since when did you know how to make a daisy chain?" I asked gently as I copied her steps and was trying to make a daisy chain though I failing obviously. "That's not how you make it," She chuckled whilst showing me again.

"Hey... don't talk about another topic. You still haven't told me how you knew how to make a daisy chain,". She paused momentarily and muttered, "That person taught me. She is someone I dearly loved,". Perhaps she is talking about her friend who might've left the orphanage because that supposedly is the only place where she met her loved one. As she said this sentence she was sniffling for a while and she looked as if she was almost going to cry.

"Hey... you ok?" I asked in a gentler tone. She shook her head and I immediately wrapped my hands around her shoulders. Her face was buried in my chest. I could hear sobbing voices but she wouldn't allow me to see her face even when I gently tried to get her off me. I suppose she is crying because that person might be dead. If the person was missing, she could see them again. However, she's crying so sadly, it must be because she can't see that person again. I gently patted her chest and comforted her in the best way I possibly could.

After a while, she stopped crying and pushed herself away from me. However, because her hair was covering her face so I couldn't see her eyes. She walked up towards the stream of water and the servants were following her diligently. When she came back her face looked as if she hadn't cried. That's weird. Her eyes weren't puffy at all, not like when I see Eveline cry. When she cried, which was very often, her eyes were always so puffy making everyone feel sorry for her.

Don't all girls like to be consoled whenever they cry? I mean that's what Eveline did to me. However, why would Camilla make sure I don't see her cry? I just realised how little I know of her yet why did I...
