Chapter 100: Let fate decide:

I woke up quite early in the morning and I felt very hungry. The sun had just risen and most people would still be asleep. There's nothing I can do but bother the servants. They are probably awake at this time.

I walked over to the rope hanging beside my bed and pulled it twice. Then a bell will ring in Annie and Alice's room. This will notify them that I wanted something. This system was put in place so that we wouldn't have to scream across the palace. Each time the rope is pulled the bell is directed to a different room.

"Your Highness," greeted Annie as she walked in. "Your Highness, it's quite early would you like to continue sleeping?" Annie asked. "Sorry, did I wake you up?" I asked as she shook her head. "I was getting up to have some breakfast anyway. What's wrong?" she asked grabbing me some shoes for my cold feet. "I'm hungry," I muttered sheepishly. Annie smiled at me and said she would bring me some food. I got back onto my bed and patiently waited for her.

"Your Highness," someone muttered as they knocked on my door. "Come in," I ordered. Alice pushed open the door and placed the tray on the coffee/tea table in my room. "Your Highness, the chef hasn't made any breakfast suitable for you to eat yet. But there is some bread and milk will that be ok?" she announced as I nodded.

She handed me the glass of milk and watched as I drank it. The milk was still warm. "Thank you," I mumbled as she shook her head saying it was her job. "You should go and have your breakfast. I will be fine here. I'll go back to sleep after having something to eat," I utterred as Alice curtsied and left the room. I ate the bread and noticed it was quite soft. Although the food for the servants wasn't steaks, it still tasted good. After eating I left the tray on my coffee table and waked back to my bed to sleep.

Perhaps it's because I was still in the body of a 10-year-old hence I fell asleep quite quickly. When I woke up it was almost noon. I pulled the string twice and Annie came in smiling. "Princess, you're awake," she stated as I nodded. "Let me help you get dressed," she muttered walking me towards the dressing room.

She opened the door and asked me what I wanted to wear. This was a good question. I looked at the clothes in front of me and thought Do I want to wear a dress or trousers? The answer was neither. I ended up wearing a white shirt with a light blue skirt. It was quite warm for autumn, however the seasons will change soon.

"Your Highness, His and Her Majesties are waiting for you in the waiting room," announced Alice as I nodded. "I had gathered they would come. Well, let's go," I announced walking out of my room and towards the drawing room. I didn't quite remember where it was so I had Alice take me there.

"Father, Mother," I greeted whilst curtsying. "We are family there is no need for such etiquette," Father announced whilst gesturing for me to sit down. Annie and Alice brought us some refreshments before leaving the room along with all the servants.

"Camilla, do you remember what happened before you fainted?" Mother began to ask as I nodded. "I also know what happened after so there is no need for you to tell me," I mumbled. "Oh, that's strange. How did you know?" Father asked curiously as I laughed but didn't reply. I mean what was I supposed to say? I don't even know myself.

"Then since you already know, what do you want to do about it?" Father asked. "Let fate decide," I suggested, "Since this is my destiny then I will know the answer as I continue to live. I guess through time I will know the answer to that,". Father and Mother looked at each other but didn't say anything to retort me.
