Chapter 101: Class fit for a princess (1):

"Right, since we can't do anything now, I plan to hire a governess for you. It's time you learn some etiquette and other classes a princess is meant to learn," stated Father. I looked at him with a shocked look. "Do not look at me like that. You are the princess, you must learn this," said Father as Mother laughed at me. "Do I have to?" I asked as Father nodded.

"Lottie, do you have anyone suitable in mind?" Father asked as Mother listed the people she thought were suitable for the job. I kind of zoned out a bit and paid no mind to the conversation. Even when they need a governess there must be an interview and a lot of procedures to go through before they can teach the princess.

Oh, you have got to be kidding me. I already learnt all of this in my previous life there is no way I'm going to learn it again. (But obviously, fate never decides to agree with me).

Besides I'm sure no one wants to teach the princess who just came back. They are better off teaching a nobleman's daughter. But boy was I wrong. Why are there so many people requesting to teach me?

"Well they pay you well if you teach the only Princess of the Theodo Kingdom," replied Christopher. I must have spoken out loud my thoughts. "Also, it looks good on their CV to have taught royalty. This way they can easily get another job quicker. Also to have a reference from the royal palace was a stunning thing," muttered Brandon.

At this moment we were all in the wine cellar having a lovely chat. "Camilla, it's not even that bad. I had to go through and look I'm perfectly fine now, " mumbled Lady Mary-Ann as I nodded. She was 2 years older than me and was studying at the Royal Academy. "Hopefully," I mumbled.

At least I have a few weeks to relieve myself of any pressure. I probably won't be getting a teacher/ governess anytime soon. Yet, again, I was wrong. In less than 2 weeks my parents had already selected a governess for me along with a teacher in Theodorian History, Mathematics, and language. The governess would teach me etiquette, social skills and dancing.

I was due to start my lessons at the beginning of December when it started to become colder. Well isn't this gonna be fun?

December 1:

As soon as it was 8 o'clock, I was dragged out of bed by my new governess Ms Mackay. She was tall and had her hair tied up in a bun. She was wearing glasses. She looked quite old. Perhaps Mother hired her as she taught a lot of successful princesses. She even taught Lady Jasmine. Gosh, I wonder how old she was.

I had no time to ponder these things as a series of hell started. I was dressed and fed before starting my lesson. She wanted to teach basic table etiquette but I had already learnt that before. So she probably gave up that idea when she saw the way I ate at breakfast.

Instead, we spent half an hour correcting my walking posture with a book on top of my head. It was so bad especially since I had to be walking around with heels as well. As a kid, I always wanted to wear heels but now that I am wearing them, I think I much prefer flats.

After that, we spent the next half an hour dancing to music. Ms Mackay was my music partner. And god I have lost count of the times I stepped on her shoes. Although I learnt basic etiquette before I hated dancing so I never learnt it. Now I'm forced to learn it. :( Life sure is difficult.

She even wanted to make me play some instruments, but after seeing me master a lot of difficult instruments she ticked this section of the list. Thank the lord that I've learnt instruments since young. They really do come in handy.

After that, I had a whole hour to rest but I already felt knacked. Gosh, why are lessons so tiring? It makes me remember the days when I had to get up early and attend school. Boy were they difficult.
