Chapter 13: Grandfather Wake

As Halloween comes and goes, experiences a rise in headaches. The familiar tingling sensation pierces his forehead with a distracting force. While in school, the teenager finds himself hearing voices. When he turns to look around, no one in the room is talking. At points, he will clasp his ears in attempt to block the sound. Unfortunately, the voices are still audible.

"Are you alright, Mr. Wake?" the teacher asks from the chalkboard. "You can go to the nurse if you need to."

"Oh...I'm fine," the teen replies with his head low. "I was just…repositioning my hair…"

"Is that so?" The teacher raises a brow as he continues with the lesson. "Anyway…"

Once class ends, Crash passes through the hallway. He hears the whispers of dissonant children and adults. He twitches from irritation. The noise is so aggravating that the typically quiet teen snaps.

"Shut up!" Crash shouts.
