Another week comes and goes. As students stay home for Thanksgiving Break, Lotusville is filled with sporadic energy. Children and teenagers take advantage of their time away from studying. Despite the cold, they gravitate towards the park. The theater is also greeted with a rise in viewers eager to watch the newest releases—from vampires to superheroes. Everyone seems thrilled, all except for two. 


'Aunt Carolyn keeps yelling at me about that 'stupid' box.' Alex texts with a frustrated emoticon.


'I'm sorry,' Crash replies while on the couch. 'I got…spooked…'


'It's fine.' His friend messages with smiley face. 'I just…feel bad about it.'


'Was it important?' the anxious teen asks in text. 'Dumb question…How important 'was' it?'


'I'm not sure of its cost.' Alex's message returns slowly. "it's just…awkward here…'
