Saturday arrives and Crash waits for Mama to leave. He watches her exit the house. With a smile and a wave, Crash bids her 'goodbye.'


"Take care of yourself, Honey!" Mama shouts back as she opens the car door. "Study well!"


The words are meant for himself as much as Mama. Once the car heads off into the street, Crash's rushes inside. He runs upstairs towards his bedroom. He turns around his bed to grab a prepacked bag of essentials. Crash's adventurer's bag contains: two flashlights, a fully charged cellphone, a couple of bottles of water, snacks, a printed-out map of Lotusville, and a tool kit equipped with a sharp blade.


Crash finishes dinner before heading out into the spring afternoon. As he steps outside, he takes a moment to inhale the warm air. 


"Good thing the weather's better." He smiles at the clear sky. "Alright let's go!"
