Chapter 39: Back Against a Wall

A screeching roar carries throughout the warehouse. The shadow fiend is enraged by the missing captives. Pandora thrashes around like a beast with sharp claws. Nails pierce through wooden crates. Sawdust flings into the air and forms a cloud around the shadow fiends. Crash places his hands over thrumming ears. 'He's loud!' The teen cringes in pain.

"Iremise," the henchman attempts to console his superior. "Tha vroume perissotera."

The frightened creature provides another approach. He tries to give a reasonable suggestion that would reassure his lead. They have already stolen perhaps twenty children. What harm is it to find more? Although Pandora does not smile, he stops wailing in distress.
