6. Outside for the first time in a decade and meeting

Ace's courtyard was actually located right on the border between the Feng household and the outside world.

This is, of course, to keep his useless self away from the main buildings.

But for Ace, it was a blessing in disguise as he could literally walk and leave the territory of the Feng household by just walking away.

And that's precisely what he did!

Ace packed the little number of things he owned and just... walked away into the forest bordering the territory.

He knew that he could've taken the other direction and gone toward the city, but he knows better than anyone that having human interaction, with how weak and "sadly" with how handsome he is, could lead to an early stop of his dreams.

So Ace opted to go into the forest, which is inhabited by lots of beasts, some strong and some weak so he could practice his techniques. Plus, since he doesn't have money, going to the city would be useless as he cannot acquire food like he can while hunting beasts.

It's a two-in-one deal.

It has now been two hours since Ace has been walking in the forest.

The forest is called the 'Dark Wood Forest'. This is because the foliage of the trees is so dense that not a lot of light can penetrate under it, making everything obscure.

While not ideal for him, thought Ace, he quickly became surprised as he could see everything clear as day.

"Is it related to my now golden eyes?" He thought out loud.

And yes, after going through his memories for a bit, he learned that it was one of the two gifts, outside of the techniques, that the Shameless immortal gave him.

He noticed that he couldn't read the memories of this second gift as if it was sealed. And it indeed was. He wouldn't have access to this second gift and information about it until a certain realm.

Anyway, back to the forest.

While Ace was in his own thoughts thinking about all of this, a creature managed to sneak past his cautious mind that was clearly elsewhere.

While this would serve as a future experience that would teach Ace to never drop his guard, it still didn't prevent the current threat to his life.

The creature started charging at Ace and rammed into his back while he wasn't paying attention.

Of course that brought him out of his reverie as he flew through the air until he hit a tree.

After Ace's struggle to stand up, he stared at the beast that resembled a big boar.

The moment Ace saw it, he forgot all about his pain as his saliva started to drip from the corner of his mouth.

This was a 'Forest boar' and as the name implies, he lives in the forest. It's a beast in the martial apprentice realm so it's stronger than an average human.

But compared to Ace, who has techniques he can utilize, he isn't really worth mentioning.

Even though Ace doesn't have any experience, and a wooden sword that can't cut anything, he wasn't scared.

He just decided to use logic and along with the sharp point of the sword, hit the weak points of the boar, so his eyes.

The boar that was standing not too far away from him couldn't do much as he wasn't really fast was pierced thru his eyes and with them gone, soon was beaten to death but the sword.

An hour later, Ace was still in front of the corpse of the boar as he scratched his head.

"How do I start a fire?" He questioned himself.

He's always been in his courtyard, so he never learnt how to make a fire.

But he didn't care that much.

Eating raw or cooked meat did not bother him as he has never been a picky eater. His situation not allowing him to be one.

Plus eating the meat raw would make use of the blood to somewhat alleviate one of his problems which was water.

Ace quickly cut the boar open and removed everything that he thought was edible.

After a couple of minutes, he started eating.

He quickly finished and started walking toward where he thought he heard water running.
