"Grandpa! Let's go now!"
Said a very excited boy as he jumped up and down in front of the old man who smiled at his very happy grandson. However, it is not new to him because he knows very well the behavior of his grandson who is overly active and a cheerful person since he was a child.
"Daewin, you should calm down. Aren't you tired from being too active everyday?"
Said a girl who was walking up to the two of them, holding an empty sacks in her hand to fill with the things she will bought later.
"Of course I have a lot of energy, Hani. After all, today is the holiday for shop, so my energy is increasing!"
The old man chuckled and shook his head when he saw the two young friends arguing and he was used to it too, seeing the same scene every day.
Some just want them to hang out, but with the loyalty as a friend that they built since childhood, they are known in the village as life and death friends. No matter what happens, they will always be together no matter what obstacles come their way.
So, it is not surprising if they stay together wherever they are.
"You two are busy fighting. That's it, let's go to the market and buy something."
As soon as they arrived in front of the market, they started looking for daily items one by one until they were full, and they were ready to go home as usual.
However, the fate has decided otherwise for today.
"We got all the things we need, let's go home-"
The old man stopped when he heard a commotion coming from behind them, and the three of them saw several palace guards riding horses, passing by the area.
What made them feel scared, the guards were not like the humans they were used to seeing.
They are the descendants of wolves that have human intelligence, also have the same human body and thick fur, added to their dark eyes and look like they are dead.
However, they know that the wolves were created with the black magic power of Han Jae Min who is famous throughout the kingdom.
The old man felt bad and hid Daewin and Hani behind him from their view as he knew they were looking for something.
How pitiful he was when he saw something unpleasant to see, and his heart grew restless when he saw several crying girls, tied by their hands and tied to the horse's body, telling them to run at the horse's pace.
"Grandpa, what's going on?"
Edwin asked as he held his grandfather's shirt, and held Hani's hand who was watching the incident.
However, his grandfather only instructed him to keep quiet, and watch what was happening without saying anything.
He followed the crowd as they began to retreat and give a way to them, and bowed respectfully as the most important person passed before them riding a white horse.
They know him as the First Prince, Prince Rafael.
"Arrest all the young girls who are here."
The young man ordered his soldiers in a proud and arrogant tone as he looked around, making the people there surprised by his sudden words.
"No!"
A group of girls being forcibly dragged by the soldiers, shouted not to take them as they refused to follow them. However, the soldiers were stronger than them even though their families tried to help prevent the soldiers from taking their daughters.
Prince Rafael who was watching the incident smiled cynically, seeing them shouting helplessly to break free. It makes his heart happy, seeing those who are in trouble asking for help.
"Whoever tries to fight the King and his Prince, they will be put to death and it will be done here, by Prince Rafael himself. This is an order from The King by himself, to collect a young girl and bring them to the castle."
The crowd fell silent at those words, and it made them kneel back to the ground with their heads bowed, knowing that what they were saying was the truth.
They know the prince is willing to do anything for his own desires, even if it means risking the lives of the others to make him satiesfied.
Seeing the girls who were crying, and had their hands tied made Prince Rafael lick his lips, impatient with what he was going to do for today. However, his eyes shifted towards the girl who was hiding behind the old man who was kneeling on the ground.
"Why don't you take the girl over there? Take that girl and tie her hands with the others immediately!"
The prince ordered fiercely, making his soldiers shiver in fear and immediately run towards the young girl. However, their path is blocked by a boy who whips them with a thick cane rope.
Prince Rafael looked at him arrogantly and cruelly after he found out that the young man was trying to stop them from approaching the girl who was hiding behind the old man.
"It seems that there are people who still dare to fight us, huh? We got some brat here, everyone. May i know what is your name?"
Prince Rafael asked before he dismounted from his horse and walked towards him holding the sword slung around his waist, making everyone watching him.
"My name is Daewin. Forgive me, Prince Rafael... But I will not allow you to take this girl without my permission."
Prince Rafael just smiled slyly at Daewin's words, then stared at him while poking his cheek from the inside with his tongue, showing that he was amused at the drama that was about to begin in front of him.
He pulled out a golden sword from his scabbard, shocking everyone there, including the old man who was sweating as he watched his grandson face the most ruthless prince was about to die.
"You are indeed a very brave person, Daewin. However, your bravery only brings harm for yourself."
