Chapter 4

"Morning, morning get up now", Alicia's alarm rang meaning it was already seven in the morning. She got up and switched it off and went to rinse her face after which she got ready to go for her morning jog. No one was awake yet when she left the house. She jogged around her estate for two hours before going back home.

On entering the house she saw her dad sipping his coffee and reading the newspapers as usual. "Good morning dad" she hugged and greeted him, "good morning my princess, how was your night" he smiled and said.

"It was fine dad"

"you are back from your jog"

"yes dad where is mom",

"She is in the kitchen" he told me

"Okay dad, I will go greet her", Alicia said and went to the kitchen

"Good morning mom, morning christine" Alicia said to them, they were both making breakfast.

"Morning my dear" Mrs James kissed her daughter on his forehead and replied.

"Good morning miss" Christine, their kitchen help replied to her.

Alicia smiled at her, "Wait is that the smell of my favorite Cinammon rolls", Alicia said and started searching the kitchen she soon saw what she was looking for in the oven, she wanted to open it when her mother slapped her hand.

"Mom let me have it" Alicia whined

"you can have it on the dining table Alicia, its not even done yet" Mrs James said and pulled her away from the oven.

"Where is my morning coffee Christine", Alicia asked.

Christine went to the opposite table and picked up a tray with a steaming cup on it.

"Here it is ma'am" she said and handed her the tray, "Thanks" Alicia said to her and took the cup from the tray. Once she finished the coffee she rinsed the cup and put it in its place.

"I will go shower mom I have to get ready for college" she told her mom, Mrs James nodded in reply and Alicia went up to her room. After her shower she entered her walk in closet and chose a white crop top with peach shorts, white knee length boots and a peach cap matched with a peach overcoat.

She tied her long straight black waist length hair in a high ponytail and applied little make up. She looked in the mirror and made sure she looked nice.

Alicia had always been a very beautiful girl she had straight long eyelashes, beautiful big black eyes, straight pointed nose, and soft luscious lips. She had a voluptuous chest and perky back. Ever since she was a child she had always been called the queen of beauty. Thanks to her parents good genes because the James parents are also extremely good looking and her brothers are also very handsome.

When she was satisfied with her look, she wore her shoes, picked up her bag and phone went downstairs. When she got down she saw her mom serving breakfast, her dad was still sitting in the sitting room were she had left him but her two brothers were no where to be found.

"Mama where are brother Julius and Justin", she asked her mom and picked up a Cinnamon roll from the plate on the table.

"They are both still in their room, will you go call them down for breakfast", her mother said while arranging the plates

"Sure mom I will be right back" she said and dashed upstairs. She went to her eldest brother's room first and entered without knocking. She saw him checking some papers

"Good Morning boyfriend" she greeted with a smile and, she was really close with her brothers. She always addressed her eldest brother as boyfriend while he calls her pumpkin and she calls her second brother by his name or sometimes baby and he calls her Licia.

"Morning pumpkin, how was your night", he asked with a smile.

"It was fine" Alicia answered.

"why didn't you knock before entering by the way"

Julius asked with his little sister with raised brows

"Sorry boyfriend, I forgot and I knew you would be ready that's why" Alicia defended with pouted lips, she could always get her way with her brothers by acting cute.

"Don't give me that look Alicia, I have told you so many times not to enter someone else's room without knocking, its bad manners but you always forget right you are so spoilt" Julius said, he only ever called her by her name when he was serious otherwise it was always pumpkin.

"Come on boyfriend don't be grumpy, I am sorry" She said and jumped on his back. "You are always so childish he said" and they both laughed.

"Wait I forgot what i came here for, Mom told me to call you and brother Justin down for breakfast".

"I'm ready I will just pack this documents and go down for breakfast so go call Justin", Justin said. "Sure brother" Alicia replied and got down from her brother's back.

She went to Justin's room afterwards and saw him doing something on his laptop, "Good morning baby" He replied without raising his head "Good morning Licia how was your night".

"Fine brother, by the way Mom said to come down for breakfast, so let's go"

"Go first Licia I will be down in five minutes".He answered again still not looking up from his computer,

What on earth was he even doing on it, the only thing that ever excites Justin were his computers, he has always had an addiction with them ever since he was a child and the only thing he ever asked for as birthday gifts or festive gifts were computers and technological products. He is now twenty two years old, he graduated from California University of Science and Technology last year as a Computer Engineer and designer and because of his good grades he was hired last year by Davis Technologies the best and largest manufacturers of Phones and computers all over America, Europe and Asia as a software analyst and computer designer.

The CEO of Davis Technologies Mr Mike Davis is the Fifth richest man in the world. Realizing her brother won't answer her Alicia left him alone while telling him to be down in five minutes. She went back down and told Mrs James.

"The both of them are coming mom, let me eat and leave first or I will be late for college". Okay Mrs James replied and served Alicia her food, her brothers also came down and we all began to eat, in between the meal Mr James told us his children he was going to see the Collins Family and tell them about Alicia's refusal of the marriage proposal. "Oh I see best of luck then" Alicia said and stood up.

"I am leaving, bye everyone" she bid goodbye to all of them and picked up her bag and car keys, she went to their garage and got into her car, she started the engine and zoomed of to her college, The National University of Designs immediately. After a while she got to school and went straight to her Faculty building which was Jewelry and Fashion Designing. She met her three friends Zack, Zia and Jay on her way there.

Alicia and Zia are both studying Jewelry and Fashion designing, Zack was studying graphics design and Jay was studying Building and blocks designing. The four of them had been friends since high school and they have been together since then.

"Morning sweeties" Alicia greeted them with a big smile on her face, "morning baby girl" Jay said and hugged her, he has always been the life and heart of the group. "Good morning pumpkin" Zack said and hugged her too. He,started calling her pumpkin the he heard Julius call her by that name.

"Mi amore,

" te amo,

" uhu baby, mona amore" Zia sang and they all laughed. "Who is your mi amore Zia, do i look like my brother to you" Alicia said and they all laughed again.

Zia has been dating Justin for the past two years now and they have a very good relationship.

" No way my baby is way more handsome than you, I was only trying suck up to my future sister in law", She replied. "Indeed" Alicia said and they all laughed again.

The four of them chatted while walking and separated when they got to their different classes. After their classes were over they all went to have lunch together at the school's cafeteria.

During lunch Alicia wanted to bring up the topic of her discussed marriage but then realized it wasn't necessary since her parents already went to cancel the alliance.

They had their lunch and attended the rest of their classes before they departed and went to their different homes. Alicia dropped off Zia at her house since she couldn't find a cab, before she went home herself.

When she got home both no one was home apart from their maids. Julius was the CEO of their family company James Constructions and Co while her dad was the Chairman and they were both obviously not back yet, Mrs James was a doctor and she was the chief of Neurosurgery at California's City hospital and she was also not back yet. Alicia went up to her room and showered, she came down when she was done and had lunch after which she went to her personal study which was in her room. She hasn't yet completed the designs of the Jewelries and clothes she would be displaying at her school's yearly exhibition in six months time and she still has so much to do.
