66 - Arming to the teeth

The last of the Forty Heralds finally walked out of the forge with the same kind of weapon in hand. The Forty had decided x.of course to wield a collective weapon to increase their prowess by a set effect.

By conversing with their systems the realities weapons of a set effect were more powerful when together though still powerful when separate.

As such for everyone Velces had pulled out the same kind of star. By the time he was done he had crested Forty weapons. All of the same type. Long swords.

Yet the long swords were different. At least after the wielders, each held their own. The Kershinis held their blades pointed down as a white flame burned on its metal and glowed in their eyes making them look like corrupted fallen angels. The Kyratk were different though, their swords rested on their shoulders as they conversed amongst themselves while Osvildas, the black liquid flame remained within them. Only showing its presence by subtle appearances in their eyes or along their palms.

The Kershinis had discovered how to reform their bodies into a more adaptable form creating a false shape of beauty that had the Kyratk amused. In any event, it was advantageous for them as they could now wield weapons with their new limbs.

Yet Velces was still at work in the forge his hammer pounding down continuously. His hands vibrated from the feedback as he felt his muscles toughen from the arduous labor. a grin was etched on his face as he kept up the hard work of forging the last weapon.

The Azkolves have chosen not to wield anything. Simply put they were Divine Neasts, something Erizos couldn't still understand. Many times he has asked if the idiot in his head had misspelled but either the inner him was adamant to not be seen as stupid or it was actually a term and he didn't know what it meant.

Either way, Velces was relieved to skip them as he was already itching to do something else apart from pounding. His actual hurry was due to Erizos finally moving off the earth slab they were all on and hovering over the countless galaxies while he stared continuously at his screen.

Velces wanted to watch what his father was about to make as such he was constantly pounding with gusto and haste. Smacking the last star he held with power as he tried to forge the best of all his work for the day. It was Gerasmine's weapon.

The star was straightened into a long blade that resembled a sword without a guard. Unlike the shield, Gerasmine decided to withhold from binding the sword to her insistent on only having one bound weapon for herself at the moment.

Finally, it was finished, the sword was nothing special as expected of something hurried but Gerasmine didn't mind after all she too wanted to watch what next Erizos had in mind. Plus she was satisfied with one good weapon.

As such both raised their eyes and looked to the largest being in the multiverse as he floated in space hovering above Dustroz and within the entirety of the Atlas Halo.

What came next had their eyes agape and mouths hanging open.

First was the long stream of white and gold with a few specs of black that gathered around in a circle. The circle formed a series of runes and symbols within it before a new smaller circle formed inside the first circle. The new one had a set of different runes within it as they spun for a while then it halted in its tracks as fast as it appeared.

The outer ring halted too within an instant of the inner one stop and then it shuddered. The light of the runes brightened instantly for a minute then slowly the light began breaking and floating into the distance. Funnily as the light dispersed and flavored off to the distance more energy entered the rune from Erizos and set the ring rolling yet again to refill the removed rune and then the process repeated.

Yet everyone noted how Erizos looked not to the rings of runes he had formed but the distance the light kept floating too. At first, Velces was confused as to what his father was wasting divinity for but soon his confused expression shifted to one of shock. His feet moved a step forward of their own accord as his eyes remained locked on the massive structure forming right in front of them.

********

Rules. Runes. Spells. Laws. Symbols.

All of these words had a similar thing in common. Each was used to denote or control something. To create or form something easily. Runes were always the best after all connecting energy whether mana or divinity or soul essence to it would simply activate the commands of the runes. Then there were symbols used to denote something or ability or power.

Laws and rules were more tricky. They were everything spells depended on. Laws of wind, laws of water, laws of space, and so on. Finally were rules. It was rules that caught my eye from the moment I heard about it.

Simply put, they were the set of mandates to be followed once applied. Making a rule was easier said than done as the environment would fight to overthrow or break the rule. While it took more divinity to stamp a rule it was always more powerful than laws and the rest simply because they were unbendable without a loophole.

And that was what I spent the last hours making.

In that few hours, I realized how hard it was for programmers to do stuff. I kept deleting and rewriting rules to make sure there wasn't any loophole and also to make sure it wouldn't backfire on me.

Even while Velces hammer pounded the life out of those poor unlucky stars that had me wincing with each hit he dealt I had focused on pouring my thoughts into the row of rules forming.

On my creator panel they were nothing yet inconsequential but once poured into the multiverse they would be everything.

Now I watched as the very first of my multiverse tools was formed out of the divinity powering the rule that made it. It loomed up boundless and without an acute measure. Just like it had been in the very description I gave it all those days ago while hovering in the forming void.

The moment the entire structure came to being and escaped the entire ring which shriveled to nothing as the last of the rules floated and joined the structure forming the last piece I sighed and looked down at my status checking just how much it had cost to make it.

"70,000." I couldn't help but shout. How could it cost more to create the structure than to create gods. I knew why though but still rip-off like a blatant rip-off this was. Looking at the structure I raised the panel for its information looking through it. The first thing I glanced at was its name. Did I name it right?. I wondered, yet considering what it did and what it would keep doing it sounded just right to me.
